NEWS:

January 24, 2008--Congratulations to Kim on the purchase of Amherst! Kim owns Amelie, Amherst's full sister, and was excited and pleased to be able to come back and buy a full sibling to her wonderful young mare. As you have already seen, Kim, Amherst has the same personality, movement and potential as Amelie. I look forward to helping you and watching you develop this fine young man!!

May 5, 2008--Congratulations to Stephanie on the purchase of Rio's Shining Star!

May 24, 2008--Congratulations to Kim and Amelie on a fabulous first outing of the year at Checkmate! This partnership pulled off an amazing 37.5% in their dressage test and had awesome rounds in cross-country and stadium in the Pre-Entry division! It's going to be an exciting season! Amelie is 5 yrs. old and is a full sister to Amberlie and Amherst.

June 19, 2008--It's a boy! Precious had her foal last night. Please see http://www.freewebs.com/clear-enk/molinaroprecious.htm for more photos and info on Phalon!

June 21, 2008--Yay for Amelie!! Congratulations Kim on three awesome rides at the Caledon Horse Trials! Kim and Amelie placed 1st in the Entry Senior A division in Amelie's debut at the Entry Level. More show results here... http://www.eventingnews.com/results/results.php?news=caledon062108&title=Caledon%20Horse%20Trials . Pictured below are Kim, Amelie and Gary(Kim and Amelie's #1 fan!)

July 5, 2008--Kim and Amelie did it again! They placed first in the Entry Senior division at Headwaters Horse Trials! Full results here... http://www.eventingnews.com/results/results.php?news=headwaters070508&title=Headwaters%20Horse%20Trials . Congrats Kim!

July 12, 2008--Will o' Wind Horse Trials: Another 45% in dressage for Kim and Amelie before the show got washed out by the rain and storm. Remember dressage people, a low score is good in eventing(and combined driving )!

July 22, 2008--What excitement! Maragold has completed her groundwork and Kim has been so kind as to give me her assistance in the backing process! Kim has been "aboard" 4 times to date. Maragold is proving to be intelligent and willing, and very much enjoying the attention!!

July 24, 2008--New pics of Molinaro Precious and Phalon added to their pages. Also a video clip of Precious' amazing trot added to the "video clips" page.

July 27, 2008--Congratulations to Kim and Amelie for achieving two 2nds. at their first dressage show today! Despite some major distractions, Kim and Amelie pulled off a 65.21% in Training test 1(15 competitors) and a 68% in Training test 4(18 competitors). Might I suggest anyone looking for a dressage prospect that they pay serious attention to Maragold here on my site.....out of the same dam(Mandelied) as Amelie, and by the dressage stallion, Marangai!

July 30, 2008--Received a wonderful e-mail and update from Joanne, owner of Pacifica!:  "Hi Shirley! I just wanted to let you know how Pacifica is doing.  Since we saw you last a lot has happened.  Her training is coming along quite nicely and we have started showing this year. Our first schooling show in April our first test (walk/trot) 72% (1st place) and 68% (2nd place) and we were Novice Horse Reserve Champ. For the May show, it was the judges first time and we won the first class with a 57% and also the second class with a 58%. And was named walk/trot Champ. The July show she was ready to move up to training in the big ring 20x60  Training test 1  70% (1st) and Training test 2  69% (2nd) (lost by .4 of a percent!!!! ouch!) We were named AA Champ."  For a show photo of Pacifica, please click here . Pacifica is also a half sister to Maragold!

August 4, 2008--Added a new pic of Kim and Maragold lungeing!

August 8, 2008--I stand corrected! Someone pointed out to me the proper way of changing the penalty points in an eventing dressage test to a percentage. Stay tuned while I get the correct information from Kim so I can post Amelie's outstanding dressage percentages!

August 10, 2008--Way to go Kim! Kim and Amelie had their work cut out for them in the rain at the Belvoir Horse Trials! But even so, they accomplished a second place finish in the Open Entry Sr. division with a dressage score of 84%!...second best dressage score of the entire day!! A Bit About Us

Clear-enk Stables is located 5 minutes north of Rockwood, Ontario, Canada. As a small-scale breeder, we are able to give individualized attention and daily handling to our youngsters. From the moment of making a decision on a stallion for one of our broodmares, to the moment when the resulting "baby" takes it's first step onto the ramp of the trailer that will take him/her to their new home, we take great pride in the care and development of each particular horse!

Our breeding farm is situated on 52 acres which gives plenty of room for quality home-grown hay and lots of turnout for the horses. Our bedding of choice is straw, and it is baled on neighbouring fields. Feed for the broodmares and growing horses is carefully monitored and fed in accordance to the strict needs and guidelines of the future athlete!

Youngsters are handled on a daily basis, therefore being mannerly and people-oriented. They receive plenty of turnout to socialize and "just be a horse"! Line shows give them the opportunity to learn to trailer and experience the activities of a horse show. Once ready to start under saddle, at the age of 3, our "babies" are brought along slowly and properly in the basics of dressage.

If you are looking for a prospect with willingness and trainability, as well as athleticism, movement and correct conformation, you've come to the right place! Buy direct from the breeder and know what you're getting!

*my apologies that my video clips are so short! No high-speed internet here yet.

*don't forget to stop by my "photo album" page as I've added quite a few pics to it. I was very fortunate to have Equestrian Artist Jennifer Pratt photograph some of my horses! Thank you Jennifer!
