My Journey's

Hello and welcome, my name is Cindy DeVaughn. I started writing down things God was doing for me back in 1993. God saw fit to guide me to a point that made me go a little further and put my "Journey's" in books. I have been so very blessed by God to be able to share my journey's with you. I was saved by God’s Grace when I was young.  My family was military so we moved alot and I was fortunate to experience alot of different people. I am married to my soul mate and unfortunately I had to go through two mistakes (marriages) before I listened to God and let Him lead me to this man. I would not trade those experiences though, I have three wonderful children that God blessed me with during that time in my life. I would not be here today if it were not for my childrens love. Even after a life full of mistakes, God has showed me how he can still bless, I am a Grandma now. Thankfully God had great plans for me and I learned to listen to Him in time to enjoy a life with HIM. May your journey with Him be blessed too.

When I started writing down things God was doing for me back in 1993 it was mostly humorous stories about my children and my patience with them. When God saw fit to guide me to put my "Journey" in a book I used the hindsight I had and added the lessons I learned. I will probably have to, at some point, write a part two since the kids aren't all gone as of yet. The next one though will be from high school through college and beyond so that all has to happen first. My life has been full of many trials and lessons; God has been my constant friend through it all. I have loved writing since I was in High school, when I was encouraged by a wonderful teacher. God has shown me through being a mother that Patience is in no way something you get and keep. It is something that must keep growing and changing through each different stage and phase of your life. To hold onto your first grasp of patience would mean you will never let it grow or teach you new and wonderful things. God must be an all encompassing part of your life as well in order to grasp patience. I am so grateful that God saw me fit to share my story with you. I pray that you will be blessed.

As a woman that started the journey to love sort of backwards, lessons in love have been in abundance. When God is part of your life you learn lessons in a very special way. You know that every trial was sent to you for a reason. I had to become aware that I was able to be loved and quit hating my self before I could experience real love. I couldn’t believe God loved me because of my frame of mind at that time. I never dreamed when I was growing up that I would have to go through two mistakes (marriages) before I found Mr. Right. Or that God would show me love from so many different people; family & friends. He taught me so many things besides love on this journey. Friendships, churches, prayer, husbands, bible study and self all have love entwined with them in some way. The children were my constant blessing in love; but so many other things are involved in the love you find. I pray that this peek into my journey will bless you. May God richly bless your lives with Love, and a whole lot of Grace and Mercy.

When I was working on my first two Journeys I realized that I had alot to share about prayer. I had asked God to use me and at the time I was still in a place that I could not do much. He said to me - PRAY! Wow, I can do that. I have been keeping a prayer book now for about seven years - and you are now in it since you are here; I asked God to remember each person that came to my sites or read my books. I have learned alot about prayer and so I had to share it. I am still working on this one but as soon as I am finished I will get it to my Publisher and I will keep you up to date till then.
