Greetings from Minnesota! After almost three months of traveling throughout the Midwest, visiting churches and supporters of our ministry and spending some time with family, we are officially on the home stretch of our time in the United States. By the middle of this week we will be loading up our Explorer and beginning the 1500 mile trek back to Monterrey, Mexico.
Our time here has been everything we hoped and prayed for: a chance to reconnect with churches and individuals that support our ministry, updating them and saying a very heartfelt “Thank You”; an opportunity to share with new churches about what God is doing in Monterrey and invite them to participate through prayer and support; and finally some much needed downtime to just be with family and friends, many of whom were meeting Lucas for the first time.
As we head back, we, of course, covet your prayers for good travel – both for safety on the road and patience in the car as we have about 24 hours worth of driving to do with a baby and a toddler.
Please also remember the following in your prayers:
· Our re-entry into ministry – may God guide us in how to manage time and focus energies both as a couple and as a team as we discern how best to serve the families of Monterrey.
· Good health for us all. Matías and Lucas have both had ear infections and bronchitis during our travels and we ask that you’d please pray that they would have good health for the remainder of our time and especially during our trip home. We praise God for protecting mom and dad from any illness!
To those of you that support us and that we were not able to see, we also want to say THANK YOU. We hope to be able to visit you before too long.
God’s grace and peace,
Nils and Erika, Matías and Lucas
