Erwin pitching well, Gretna hitting some hard but right at them. Triggs hits a homer for Wayne in the first. For Gretna, Scott Doggett got a rbi on a ball hit hard off the leftfield fence.He got thrown out at 2nd base trying to stretch out a double. After 7 innings, its all tied up 1-1, so we are going into extra innings. In the 8th, Gretna got one run on an infield hit by Scott Doggett. Wayne was held in the bottom of the 8th, so Gretna wins 2-1 and advances on the Class B final vs. Roncalli.

Wayne wins 10-5. Hill came in to pitch the 6th and 7th. Roncalli appeared to take the game lightly and had numerous errors. Wayne played hard and deserved the victory. I will post some stats later on today.

The starting pitchers for today's game are Tyler Hansen of St. Paul and Dario Melendex of Gretna. Gretna gets one run in the first inning on a sac fly by Mitch Reinig. Jordan Heusinkvelt came into pitch for Tyler Hansen in the 2nd inning for St. Paul. Gretna gets 4 runs on 3 hits in the 2nd inning, highlighted by a 2-run double by Jay Omar. Bottom of 2nd, St. Paul gets one run on a rbi double by Jordan Heusinkvelt. Matt Schuetz knocks in 2 runs on a single for Gretna in the top of the 4th. Another RBI for Jay Omar on a single in the 5th. In the same inning, Stephen Katsampes hit 2-run double to make the score 11-1 in favor of Gretna. Gretna gets 3 outs in the 5th, to end the game by a 10-run rule, 11-1.

The starting pitchers for tonight's game are Mike Knapp for St. Paul and Mike Nowak for Roncalli. Roncalli's first run in the 1st came on a throwing error to home plate. Another run for Roncalli in the 2nd on a RBI doulble from Luke Coenen. In the bottom of the 4th, Roncalli's Mike Herman hit a solo homerun to left. St. Paul got 2 runs on 2 bases loaded walks, then a 2-RBI single by Louis Poss in the top of the 5th. Danny Kulus came in the game to pitch for Roncalli. Louis Poss is now on the mound for St. Paul. In the bottom of the 5th, Brad Metzler got an RBI double for Roncalli. After 5 complete innings the score is tied 5-5. Jordan Heusinkvelt is now in to pitch for St. Paul i n the bottom of the 6th. Roncalli got 3 runs on 4 hits in the 6th inning. Alex Terry is the new pitcher with one out in the St. Paul 7th, and got the 2 outs he needed to end the ballgame. Roncalli wins the game 8-5. Roncalli will play Wayne tomorrow at 8:00 and St. Paul will play Gretna at 5:00.

Wayne wins 3-0. 6 Players suspended from Lexington by the coach. 1 unearned run in the first for Wayne and a Homer in the 3rd by Cardel. Erwin connects on a homer in the bottom of the 6th for Wayne. Lexington left numerous runners on base.

Jordan Heusinkvelt for St. Paul and John Dillard for Lexington are the starting pitchers for tonight's contest. In the bottom of the 2nd Inning, Jordan Heusinkvelt hit a towering 3-run homerun. For Lexington in the top of the 3rd, Gustavo Ramirez hit a solo homerun. Mike Knapp comes in to relieve Heusinkvelt in the top of the 4th. Lexington scores 5 runs on 3 hits in their half of the 4th. Bottom 5th, Jordan Meyer hit a 2-RBI double, then got a RBI single by Mike Knapp. Lexington got 1 run in the 6th. St. Paul countered with 2 runs in the bottom of 6th. Knapp holds Lexington in the 7th. St. Paul earns a 10-7 victory over Lexington on a well played ballgame by both teams.

7-5 Beatrice after 6 and a half innings. Justin Coleman has now hit 2 solo home runs for Beatrice. Wittler started on the mound for Beatrice. Sanchez Started on the mound for Chappell. Tharp comes in relief for Chappell. Chappell had several opportunties but couldn't convert and Beatrice moves on.

7-2 final, Wayne wins. Wahoo started Trede on the mound and Wayne has Erwin on the mound today. Wahoo scores 1 in the first on a botched run down play by Wayne. Wayne scores 5 runs in the 3rd on 4 hits. Wahoo now has Benal pitching in the 5th. Erwin pitched a complete game.

10-2 final. Hill on the mound for Wayne and Reinig on the mound for Gretna. Reinig hit a 2 run homer in the 1st. Wayne's 1st 2 batters reached in the 2nd but a popped up bunt leads to a double play. Gretna starting to hit Hill in the 3rd. Summerfield into pitch for Wayne in the 4th.

Chappell gets a 2-run homerun in the bottom of the 4th by Brady Sanchez. St. Paul follows that up with 3 runs of their own in the top of the 5th on 5 straight hits. In the top the 7th, Jordan Heusinkvelt hit a solo homer. Chappell gets a homer in the bottom of 7th but Poss gets them out to win the game.
