Lets
have a friendly!
What? No team? No match? We can't
let that happen can we? Since our opponents never showed up this
Tuesday, we had a combined friendly. A very close game was won in
the end by the team comprising Jamal, Sarfraz, Javed, Alim and other
park regulars.

Two teams in VPCCL Cup
Sky and Mola Jutt will be
representing CC in this year's Victoria Park Cup matches. Sky is
currently lead by Nazmul Hussain while Jamal Ahmad will be taking
over Mola Jutt. Only one team is bound to do well as a victory for
both in the first round will pair them up against each other. Wonder
who did the draw!!!

Dangerous turf causes black eye and fracture
The pitch for the match against
Eastern turned out to be extremely unsafe for play. The odd ball
rose viciously from a good length but none more than the one that
hit Saleem Ahmed just below the eye. He was wearing glasses as well.
He had to be rushed to the hospital where an X-ray revealed a
fractured bone. Other players, Javed and Jamal suffered forearm and
thigh injury.

Saracens demolished
After a shock defeat by ONE run in a
preseason friendly, Saracens were given the real taste of the CC
medicine as they were well and truly demolished in the first round
of the Cup. Not a single batsman managed double figures.
