DOWN and OUT
With four defeats in our last seven league matches, we are most certainly out of the title race and have dropped way down in the table.

CCCC defeated in the MCCL Cup final
Clapton Casual faltered at the last hurdle and lost a very tense cup final to Traditional by six runs. Traditional were dismissed for 160

Double hopes dashed as SKY crash out of VPCCL Cup
A dismal performance saw Sky being dismissed for a below par 118 with three overs to spare. Newham took 14 overs to reach their target with four wickets standing to face Dover Castle in the final.

!!!!! SKY ARE VPCCL CHAMPIONS !!!!!

A 72 run demolition of Victoria Lounge meant that Sky took an unassailable lead in the league with two games still in hand. This was our eleventh win from as many games.

The Loungers chose to field first. Imran K and Imran Y both retired after reaching their respective 50's as Sky ended up with 168 for 4.

The Loungers were dismissed for 96 runs. Jamal Ahmad picked up 3 for 19.

CCCC into MCCL Cup Final!
CCCC cruised into the MCCL Cup final beating Plashet by 95 runs. Skipper Shakeel Durrani made 43* as we were dismissed for 189 off 40 overs. Plashet had no answer to Imran(3-28) and Nazmul's (4-24) pace and were bundled for 94.

Clapton Casual Cricket Club's (CCCC) season starts with Middlesex Club Cricketers League (MCCL) around mid April. The matches are played over 40 overs and are held on a home & away basis. The MCCL is contested by very competitive teams from all over London.

Soon after, the evening league kicks in. The Victoria Park Community Cricket League (VPCCL) is very popular amongst the players as it is a shortened and much quicker version of the game. Matches comprise of eight players a side and are limited to 16 overs with a maximum of four overs per bowler. We have been playing in the VPCCL under the name Mola Jutt for quite some time but this year our side is called Sky.
