Prior to being considered for membership in the Clam O’Sliabh, you will be required to attend a Clan Outer Court. The object of an Outer court is to allow people who have an interest in Paganism generally to gain some first hand information on how a Pagan group or Wiccan Coven may operate, what we do. On the following page the current (in applicable) details and schedules are set out for you to peruse.

Please understand Clan O'Sliabh does have a minimum age rating of  20. Those who desire to be considered for membership, will be required to show proof of identity when being interviewed prior attending the required Information Discussions

We do not accept Applications For Membership from folks who do not live within a reasonable proximity to us in S/E Queensland, for practical purposes.

 We will make every attempt to reply to your enquiry as soon as possible and as fully as is possible. We do ask that you supply the preferred method of contacting you including your return email address, or Phone Number if you prefer. Clan Membership

People wishing to join, Clan O'Sliabh is will be expected to attend 13 nights of general information and orientation. After seven nights that they will be given the chance to undergo a Rite called the Rite of the Seeker. The Rite of the Seeker is not an initiation but he does place the train any Seeker under the protection spiritually of the Clan this allows the seeker to be present at some rituals such as the Full Moon Ceremony and it allows them to experience the working within the circle. At the end of the 13 weeks is that they will be informed that the program is finished and those that wish an initiation may apply in writing to the plan. This notification will be made on one to one bases due to the fact that there may be people who are the Clan believes is not suitable for consideration for membership.

Most people who are seeking membership of the plan will need to match the following criteria:

1.       They must be prepared to make one evening a week free to attend meetings.

2.     They must have sufficient time for their private practice, reading, and study at home.

3.      It is preferable that they do not have heavy family commitments or ties.

4.     They must be prepared to discuss their feelings believes etc regarding nudity sex and also their attitudes towards drugs.

5.      They must understand the loyalty to the Clan.

6.      It will be required they have read the Clan Laws and the Oath of Initiation.

7.      They will be prepared to sit and discuss all of these matters with myself so that there are no misunderstandings regarding any thing involving the joining the Clan.

8.     Ideally you will be mature and you must be over the age of 18 I would prefer from 25 upwards.

Because the Clan is all long-term commitment, with all links being formed that are akin to family like bonds, it is essential that during the preliminary 13 weeks, those people who do not have the time, commitment or dedication and correct attitude, are taken to one side and the matter discussed with them. In some cases it may be possible to place their feet on a path more suitable for them such as a Wiccan Coven. I am not interested in any who are merely curious or wish to join the Clan as a means of increasing their social life or to study paganism. I am however happy to accept visitors to be an initial training program who have a genuine interest in understanding what we do. This may include a spouse of a potential member.

During all training programs and in concluding training as a member of the Clan, every person is required to take their own notes and couples will be separated so they do not sit together. It must be understood that bonds and affiliations will be created if not prior to initiation certainly following an initiation this may not happen immediately but it will happen over time. There are very specific rules set out in the Clan law regarding relationships within the Clan.

As you will see by reading the Law, the Clan has stringent rules and obligations. Thus, there is a format, which members may be given a form of punishment and justice maintained. All members have the opportunity if they feel they have been wrong to bring the matter directly to me for before the Clan. In the case of the Clan Council or Clan tribunal, I have the final say and power of veto. Minor infringements will be dealt with by me and done so in private.

There is no charge for joining the Clan or attending the preliminary tuition however will be required to have a basic robe. This will be discussed at the time as to the suitable colour and style. Upon being informed that you may be considered for membership, you are required to make a written application (this is to stop a spontaneous jumping in boots and all, but too seriously consider your application), there will be no coercion nor pressure placed upon you in any way shape or form. Upon receiving your application and it being approved you will be notified by an agreed upon method and further details will be given to you then.
