Claiming Black Hills

Hello visitors and travelers through this land, thank you for stopping by and for your interest.

Please look through the information on this site, and then submit a character. Once your character has been accepted you will recieve an invitation to the google group mailing list. After you have joined I will do all that I can to see that you are included and can join in the game.

The Group can be found Here, however I do expect all members to participate and I will email you upon joining and if you do not respond you will not be admited to the group. :) I will expect members to have read the information on the site and to read the Rules. Members MUST post regularly.

NOTE: I know there is a lot of information in this site, I am not going to be extremely nit picky or strict on all the information and am quiet flexible with all of it. Am however not flexible with the rules. :)

The Sidhe courts have taken over Ireland and England in the past few centuries as they found their numbers in creasing and the human birth rate decreasing. Slowly at first and then faster the Sidhe took over until both countries fell to their power. Rejecting the spreading Vampire and Therianthropic groups save for a few sworn to serve specific Sidhe. Those human's who decided to stay when given a chance have been asked to change their way of life, and live in harmony with the Sidhe to the point of limiting the use of iron. Returning to a must more rustic life, the great cities of Ireland and England now stand mostly empty save for a few who haunt the great shells.

Sidhe magic has never been completely predictable nor under control and has in the past acted of it's own accord. However when a great surge of power runs through both courts disrupting all magic and spells in place many questions are asked. But answers are not readily apparent until word comes from America of the doings of the banished Sidhe and lesser-fey. As the Unseelie and Seelie courts are now much more closely allied then they used to be some of the power that sets them apart has begun to fade. Slowly the two courts are becoming one despite their ancient prejudices and dislike of each other. Had they not allied themselves they never would've succeeded in conquering the Irish and the British.

In America the allied Vampire and Therianthropic Counsel's are concerned about this sudden unexplained thrust of magic upon their own shores. Thinking that the Sidhe are planning something more then simply sending over their rejects or that something has happened among their own they send representatives to investigate. Tracking the power to its source located in the Black Hills National Forest of South Dakota. Of old there was a Sithen there during the time of the people of the earth (the Sioux) before the coming of the white man but it's power vanished one day. For years the Sidhe of both courts assumed that it was dead that the magic had left it. A few of the Sidhe filtered into the light and dark courts from there but none would ever speak of what had happened.

The Fae banished to America by the join Seelie and Unseelie courts are drawn to this new power as are others who think to claim it that they might find a home of their own a place where both light and dark might drink again of the pleasures of sidhe flesh. However no one person can claim the power of the Sithen for it draws upon a different power a combination of powers that is not completely fae in origin. Drawn by the need of those banished to America a place has been created for all out castes but not just for those of the fae. Now alliances must be formed between Fae and Vampire, Vampire and Human, Human and Therianthropic or any other combination. Power can be shared between two and already some knew this but now some are beginning to discover that power can be shared between three and four making members even stronger and yet more vulnerability the same time.

But in order to claim the gifts of the new Sithen those who once and still hate each other must begin to work together despite their inherent and inherited differences or prejudices. (Read the Myth of the Black Hills Sithen for more information on the sealing of the Sithen and entering it.)
