A new year has begun for the new Youth Group. Once again, I would like to welcome each and every one of the brothers and sisters that have joined us. Now that a new year has begun, this website will go through another rehaul process and hopefully get onto a new domain. So far, I have discussed our plans with Brother Stefan about the rehaul and we have listed the following so far. - New Domain - Take out many pictures and put in new ones - An online directory - A page in rememberance of Jonathan - A youth profile If you have any ideas you would like to contribue, please, feel free to share them. Other then that, have a great week everyone and don't forget to come out this Saturday to cheer on the Youth, Dunamis, and Adults that are representing CKPC.

8-30-06

As of last Sunday, the College kids have moved up to the English Ministry and the Seventh Graders have entered the Youth Group. A new Youth Group begins today, so please, pray for the Seventh Graders and also for the College kids. Other then that, have a great week people.

Hope everyone had a good time at the All Sac Youth Retreat. God Bless Pastor Richard Lee for coming all the way from New Jersey to share the gospel. As many of you know, the seniors will be leaving the Youth Group soon so please pray for the five. Though the five are leaving, another six will be entering the Youth Group so please pray for them as well. If any one of you have pictures from the retreat, it would be nice if you could send them to me at Term1n8er@gmail.com so that I can have some pics uploaded onto the page. Other then that, have a great week, epsecially to those that are going to be starting school soon, which I'm sure none of will have a great time then...

Sorry everyone, I've been slacking off these past weeks. Moving on. Thanks to those thave have helped out at VBS. Also thanks to God for making all this possible for every one of us to do. The time is 10:40 and in about eight hours, the missions team will be heading down southeast to Torreon, New Mexico where we will be serving the natives. Those that are happy that VBS ended, don't celebrate just yet, for we do have another VBS to do except this time, there will be more people attending. God bless you all, get some sleep, and wake up early, for we will be taking the bus and train to our field.

7-1-06

God bless those that have spent their day today in helping prepare for the upcoming VBS. Keep on praying for what is to come. Also, pray for sister Rachel who is in Washington D.C. and for brother J.J. who is in South Korea and that they may have a good time and come travel back home safely. Be prepared for this week, and enjoy the fireworks on Independence Day.

6-26-06

Continue praying for this years Missions trip, as well as the upcoming VBS.

5-26-06

Let this be a day in which we can all spend time with another, thinking of brother Jonathan Yoon who had passed away. For 25 months and 25 days, we have been praying for our brother who was recovering at the care home in Saratoga, California. It may be hard for all of us to endure his absence on earth, but instead, we should rejoice, for we know he is walking with Christ in Heaven. Please pray for the Yoon and Shin family, as they grieve over a good son, nephew, brother, and cousin. Jonathan will always be loved by every one of us at Capital Korean Presbyterian Church. A page for him will be created A.S.A.P. If you can, I would appreciate it if every one of us can take a time to write a one page journal about your memories with Jonathan and email them to me, for I will add it to the Page. If you have any pictures of him, please email them to me at Term1n8er@gmail.com.

5-21-06

Thanks to Pastor Thomas Kang for spending the weekend speaking at our revival. Please pray that he arrives in New Jersey safely. That's all I have to say for right now, other than that, have a great weekend like the usual, and also, pray for the few that have finals coming up.

5-14-06

If you haven't already, even though you should have done so first thing in the morning, wish your mother a Happy Mother's Day. As Reverend Chan stated in his sermon today, "A Mother's love is the greatest force in Earth." As you all know, this coming weekend is our first Youth Revival in El Dorado Hills. Please pray for those that will be travelling from Outside of Sacramento as well as Thomas Kang who will be flying in from the East Coast.

5-7-06

These past few weeks, the QT Phone Cycle has been broken. It is probable that the chain isn't continuing because someone is forgetting to call so to prevent the chain from breaking, please call, even if you haven't been called. I also hope you are reading the announcements because there are many events coming up. God bless you all.

4-30-06

Once again, congratulations to Reverend Chan on his ordination. Also congratulations to Daniel who is going to be married this Saturday. Please pray for David as he recovers from the wrist injury which was inflicted onto him from a foul play in basketball. Also pray for Don as he and his fellow rocketeers fly to Alabama this weekend. That's all that needs to be said so have a great week.

4-24-06

One year ago, the church, as well as other churches around Sacramento, and Bella Vista High School was shocked at what had happened around mid-afternoon in Orangevale. If you do not remember, this day is the day in which brother Jonathan Yoon had been put into a coma after a car accident. It is sad to see that Jonathan is not with us at the moment since he is recovering in a care home in Saratoga. Though this event may have been very hard for the Yoon family as well as most of us, there was a positive side in which impacted all of us til today, which is that we have become more close than we have ever been before as a Youth Group, friendship, and a family in Christ. In case you had forgotten Jonathan in your prayers, please pray for him, as Reverend Daniel Kim said in his message today, "When people pray, God will answer them". It would be best to call him tommorow. If you need the number, just message me.

Easter 4-16-06

When Jesus Christ died on the cross, our sins were nailed into the cross and we who are of a sinful nature were crucified in Christ on that cross and buried with him. As Christ ressurected from the dead, the believers in Christ are too raised in him. Our old selves with sinful nature had died and a new self of us is created in Christ, for we are no longer in the bondage of sin. As Spring Break ends for most of us, remember the price that Christ had paid to give us this new life and to save us from Death. Also remember the Great Commission in which he had left us; Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

4-9-06

As you all know, today is Palm Sunday, the day in which Jesus entered Jerusalem riding a donkey as prophecized in Zechariah 9:9. The day is also the marking in which Jesus had one week left before he would be die on the Cross and be Resurected. As Haree told us earlier before starting praise, let's not be like the crowd on the streets of Jerusalem whom cheered for Jesus' arrival and forgot about him one week later after he had endured the suffering and humiliation on that Wonderful Cross. But also know that when he was on the cross, the only thing he had in mind, was you.

4-3-06

Notice: For the past three weeks, some people have not receive any phone calls in the QT Phone Chain. Please don't forget to call whoever you've been assigned to call right after receiving a call from someone; call right away instead of waiting before you to go to bed.

3-19-06

Remember to pray for Pastor Chan and his upcoming ordination interview. If the interview goes well, he will be ordained by the Evangelical Church Alliance International on March 21.
