 |
| The Passage that Started it all... |
"The night sky, adorned in sparkling diamonds and the ever omnipresent moons, slowly faded into view. A deep and dense fog began rolling in over the sleepy village of Seyda Neen. Alone he was, there in the darkening distance. A tall robust figure, a glistening blade hung naked at his belt. He was adorned in black, almost completely dissolving into the backround.
Otohew simply waited and watched. Atop a boulder northwest of the town he stood. His short hair barely waved in the gentle breeze, his cloak rustling and his blade swinging softly. He moved a gauntleted hand over the hilt of his sword, stroked it's pummel longingly. Soon, a motion disturbed his reverie. In the distance a shadow danced against one of the cottages in the town.
Not a single man, mer, or beast walked about this late. No lights were lit, only the stars and the moons shone upon the ground. Otohew trained his eyesight at the skulking figure, locking his gaze. After awile he swiftly and gracefully lept down, making no noise as his leather boots padded his fall. Strolling forward, he waded through the narrow channel barely knee high of water behind the tradehouse.
Soundlessly he drew forth his sword, it's curved surface shining even in the dim backdrop. The shadow moved ever closer, Otohew's heart rate grew ever closer, and the tense air soon slowed time. Every minute felt like an hour as he awaited his prey to move into eyesight. The figure seemed to sense him to as it gave out a low hiss and spun to stare into shadows.
Otohew crept forward, blade ready, wrist twitched until the moons betrayed him. Coming out from behind the clouds, the figure immediatly saw this strange imperial and recoiled. With a flick of it's hand a glint of light echoed forth as a spine pierced the air. Otohew side stepped the dagger and rushed his opponent. The Vampire lifted it's hands to grapple it's attacker, but found the mortal to swift for even it's super-natural reflexes.
The sword easily pierced the vampires chest as it stopped all motion. It glimpsed at it's foe's face, one it so desipised and loathed that it managed to summon enough strength to mutter his name. "Dies Dreary...". Otohew yanked his blade free and watched the undead slump to the ground. The blood of a hundred mortals trickled from it's death wound as Otohew strolled off into the night, back to Balmora...back to the Warders of the Night..." |
| Backround for 'Thee' original Fan Fiction |
Welcome to the section that houses the amazing fan fiction, the Misty Night Ballad! Though I may have been the one who created it, I am far from the only one who contributed to both it's success and popularity. The Misty Night Ballad is a Forum RP (Roleplay), which is an interactive story where the different "Players" control their own character or characters. At the moment, this is currently the first RP of it's kind on the Official Forums.
Now, the story is based in the Morrowind General board on the official forums. Just do a search for Misty Night Ballad and you'll find the original stories as well as it's two sequels (the fourth doesn't count, it ended). In chronological order, it's the Misty Night Ballad, the Misty Night Ballad: A Deadly Dance, and finally the Misty Night Ballad: Elegy of the Damned. The screenshot above is something I myself did at the request of the story members. It's EVERYONE's character compiled into one big, group photo!
Finally, I'd like to give a shout out to the writer's of the story (or atleast, the ones who stuck around long enough to contribute). This list is in no particular order, although I have to say that Elhazan is definatly one of the biggest helps to the story. Him and I have constant talks about how it went along, and played off each other's ideas to an extent so great that he actually helped mold the plot...
-Elhazan- -Daywalker- -Parl63- -Yeah- -White Cloak- -Stratigo- -Geddoe- -OverrideB1- -Swrdphantom- -Harold_the_Great-
(Now, these are the characters from the picture, from top row to bottom, left character to right...)
