The history of our race, and each individual's experience, are sown thick with evidence that a truth is not hard to kill and that a lie told well is immortal. Mark Twain

Power to the Council!

On Monday the 17th of December, 2007 the Council of Captains of Port Kar took a great leap toward the betterment of play within the city.  The first steps to bringing about an end to the Out Of Character cesspool that has permeated the city for more years than most can remember were taken, by first and foremost, banning such.  All OOC is to be kept to a minimum and only that which cannot be avoided, technical issues, and such, and will be handled by the council.

The Admiral system was also eliminated as well as the position of First Speaker.  Those of the Council worked together, and well, despite many holding blood feuds with one another.

There was one, brief incident where a rabble rouser tried to break up the proceedings, but he was swiftly ejected from the room and did, in fact, only serve to prove the point that what the Captains were doing, was highly needed.  Said rabble rouser then proceeded to write inflammatory email, which will soon, no doubt be seen in the Outlaw Times, and which also prompted replies from both the author of said 'publication' and a rather childish response from another recipient, who again only proved that the Captains are on the right course.

Kudos to the players and Power to the Council!

Festival of Ko Ro Ba

The event, held over the last several days in the fair City of Ko Ro Ba was well planned and executed.   Many were in attendance, so many in fact that most places were overcrowded.  A good time was had by all, I believe and the folks of Ko Ro Ba should be commended for their efforts.
