C A T S

CATS formed in 1998 and includes adults who have used or are still using a variety of health and social care services. Our aim is to secure full and equal participation for service-users in service delivery within the health and social care professions and the education and training of service workers. In doing this we aim to give support to each other and grow in confidence to improve our skills and opportunities for further education/employment etc.

Our mission statement is:
(For too long, service providers have failed to listen to our needs. They have had neither time nor inclination to recognise that service users have a role to play in service provision, planning and training. Cats is a group of strong capable citizens who have turned anger into action and will address the balance by influencing the training of others and, in doing this, improve services for the future.)
