Imagine

A few friends of mine, and I, have decided that we are tired of waiting for our governments to decide to make peace. Ha ha ! We have come up with some very good ideas, about ways to improve the relations between different nations. You see, we are dreamers. We have a dream of peace. and prosperity.A dream of friendship, and unity. You see, it is our belief that we can be friends, not in spite of our differences, but because of them. Imagine, if you will, that you have decided to take a trip abroad. First, you have to decide, if the country you wish to visit, will welcome you. Then, you have to obtain a visa, and passport. Get shots for any diseases you might pick up on the trip. What to pack? Could someone mistake it for a weapon? Now. Imagine this. You decide you want to travel. You are not sure where you want to go.There are so many places to see, and interesting things to do.You can't decide, so you take a pin, and get the map out. You close your eyes, and stick the pin into the map. It lands in a place near Sri Lanka.. You go. No one tries to rob you. No scowls, or whispers. You have the time of your life. Ok, so you are getting the idea.. Am I right?

Some Special Friends

I have a dear friend who lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I call him The Lion.He is from the K2 area. We met in a chatroom, of all places, but our friendship has been a long, and extremely interesting one. When we first started chatting, sometimes, he made me feel like I was talking to a robot..He is very intelligent, and was full of facts, and figures. Came a time, when I needed some information, which of course, I could not find. Low, and  behold, he found the answer for me in about 2 minutes. I had looked for days. Since that time, we have grown to be close friends, and confidantes.

We both have something the other lacks, so it is a mutually beneficial relationship. The Lion, is a whiz, at all things technical, and mathematical. He is also the bloodhound, when it comes to finding things on the internet. I lack his skill, and tenacity.

My talent lies in the spiritual, and mental realms. I am very good at seeing into people. I have helped him to reach into his inner being, and find the, shall we say, not so technical side of himself. so as you see, we have both filled 2 needs of the other. It is my wish, that we always be friends. I can't imagine what life would be without him in it.. If we ever get to meet in person, I will say this to him directly, but if fate keeps us on opposite sides of the globe, I can still say that I count him among my very closest friends, and I bless the day I met him..
