The Christ In The Hood Project

"Strike a Match and Light a Fire"

Matthew 9:37 Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few."

The Christ In The Hood Project (CITH) is a volunteerism program that bridges the gap between targeted impoverished communities and outside resources and programs who may be able to assist with positively impacting the residents and their families.  CITH helps identify both the natural and spiritual issues that are most prevalent in each community and then immediately begins to work on how to connect with the community and start addressing their needs and desires as a whole.

CITH works with already existing community organizations, governmental agencies and ministries who have programs, information and volunteers that are willing to establish and build long-term relationships within high needs/risk communities where little to no resources exist.  These outside resources are not presented to the community until an actual mutual working relationship is established and all parties directly involved with the rebuilding and repairing of the community as a whole are clearly understood to be on the same page and working towards the same goal which is to empower and equip the youth and adults who live in poverty related conditions to overcome the obstacles of their immediate environment.
