If you are looking for a competent, confident and creative Access Technology Trainer, I am the person you need!
As a graduate of the Access Technology Trainer course through Access Technology Institute, I bring a variety of experiences to the table.
* eleven years as a ParaEducator in the public schools working one on one with visually impaired students teaching: braille, computer skills, independent living skills, etc.
* Twenty years as an active member of a local consumer group of blind people, acting as a liaison/conduit between members of my community and blindness, providing support and information as needed.
* Strong leadership skills, as evident by my positions, past and present, in organizations of the blind, civic groups, and employment.
* Excellent oral and written skills; writing for and producing newsletters, creating flyers and brochures, and making public presentations to schools, churches, business people, and community organizations.
* Extremely organized and detail oriented. Chairing numerous committees, organizing large events and programs, and clearly possessing the ability to balance family, work, and organizational activities.
My love for people and commitment to helping others be the best possible individuals they can be, coupled with my desire to continually grow and learn so that I can give the best of me to others, are what I believe make me a desirable commodity. I have high standards for myself and therefore work to instill that in others.
