My name is Cindy Van Winkle. I have been blind all my life, but learned early on that it is much better to see with your heart than with your eyes, although the latter may be a bit more convenient.
While growing up, I was very fortunate to have parents, friends and educators who believed in me and instilled in me a strong belief in myself.
I am a wife, mother, friend, educator, mentor, and advocate.
However, the most important thing that you should know about me is that I know I am here for a reason. God has never taken me to a place of no purpose. There may be times I'm not sure of where I am going or why, but trusting in Him to see me through, using His vision not mine, is what gives me sincere joy and love for life.
