Whole Truth, Nothing But the Truth

                    Getting to the Source

Certainly we all can see and discuss the problems that we face in the land today, whether it has to do with political aspect, social aspect, or religious aspect of our society.  It is also clear to see that just seeing and discussing will not accomplish much. Only action will bring about a change.

Action? where, who, how, why.?First before there can be a reversal of the moral decline of this country, we must get to the source of the decline.

Where did it all begin.? Of course we can go back to the Garden of Eden. But let us accelerate in time a little to our country's beginning when our laws were established on Bible principles.  Since that time there has been a steady decline of Bible based moral values in our country.

Did the government decide to let down? Or could we look at the failure in the churches to uphold the CLEAR teaching of the word of God.

Let think for a moment ' What if '  the churches didn't let down on what the Bible teaches on divorce, on sin, on homosexuality, fornication, etc. Would this country be in immoral condition that it is in?

Herein is the source of the problem, WE MUST GET BACK TO THE BIBLE. Trying to make a law to suit everyone's particular whim will not correct the problem it only causes a further decay of morals.

You and I can get to the source as individuals by following the word of God, as God intended us to follow it.

                                    What Can I Do?

Have you found yourself asking this question?  Perhaps it had to do with helping out a friend or relative, or maybe at your place of employment, or just seeing some one that you thought could use a hand. Sometimes your services, were appreciated, rejected or not needed.  Yet you found some what a comfort in the fact that you had a least offered your services.

As we look out over the land today.  In our schools, churches, communties, place of employment, etc. It is easy to see that there has been a vast change in our society from the way things were 30-50 years ago.

We now read about school shootings, terrorist attacks, gay marriages, abortion, sex and violence portrayed as something glamourous. Each day it seems that, we are hearing about one horror story after another.

Yes, we see these things, but must it stop there?  Let ask ourselves what can I do?  In the book of Lamentations ch.3:51 we read 'Mine eye affecteth mine heart because of all the daughters of my city.'

Yes, you can make a difference. Start with exercising the burden that God has givin' you. Or seek God until He burdens your heart to make a difference in any way you can.  We need not sit back and watch our society go deeper and deeper into decline.

Be not afraid to speak out against ungodly movies, music, marriages, abortions, babies out of wedlock, etc. Our silence will only help promote further decay of our morals.

YOU CAN BE INVOLVED. YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

                                    Too Late To Pray

"And he cried, and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.....Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house.  For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Luke16:24 and verse 27-28.

Please read verses(19-31) to get the full picture of what I wish to say. Here, this rich man lived a life full of comfort and ease, pleasure and mirth. He lived the life he wanted to live.  He enjoyed life to the fullest whatever that meant.  He ate, he drank, he caroused and probably had plenty of women. He had no doubt the most finest things that life had to offer but one thing he didn't have and that was a genuine relationship with God.  And what about you my friend?

Don't wait too late to pray like this man did.  Many people don't believe in God, the devil or hell.  But they will once they get there if they die without God.  But then it will be too late to pray.  My friend the time to pray is now.

What was recommended to this man concerning his brethren was that they hear Moses and the prophets.  See, verses 29-31.  The only sad part is today many preachers are teaching men that they can live a life full of sin and folly and still be accepted with God and many professed Christians will end up just like this rich man.  Trying to pray but too late.

My friend, don't believe any preacher that justify sin.  He is a false prophet if he tells you such.   You can not live your own life and have a mere cloke of religion, and expect to go to heaven.  Salvation changes your life and makes you live like God would have you to.  My friend, don't wait too late to pray but believe the message plan of salvation today.  God wants to deliver you from sin, and give you a new life in Jesus Christ.

To accept Christ, you must believe that He died to deliver you from sin.  In so doing, you must repent to God, asking in Jesus name, and turn away from all known sin, with the intent by God's help and grace, you will never sin again.  If you do this with all sincerity from the depth of your heart, you will find a new life in Christ.

My friend, receive your blessing of salvation.   Don't put it off for tomorrow what you should do today.  Please, my friend , don't wait too late to pray.  May God bless you.
