More About One Church

New Testament Worship. is it necessary for Salvation?

.We cannot have just anything in our worship and please God, the component parts of worship are stated by Christ in ( John.4:24) there are five avenues of worship:

1.The early Church taught in worship (Acts 2:42)(Acts 20:7)

2. Prayer is another item of worship in the Lords Church ( Acts 2:42) (1 Cor 14:15) ( 1 Tim 2:12)

3. The Church of the first century sang as an act of worship ( Eph 5:19) ( Col 14:15) ( 1 Tim 2:12) the early Christians were limited in their making of music to vocal music, a specific kind of vocal music singing the true Church of Christ limits its music to singing just as did the Church of the first century.

4. The Apostolic Church gave their contributions upon the first day of the week, even as the Lord had prospered them.( 1 Cor.16:1-2)

5. The orignal Church of Christ engaged in the Communion service, the Lords supper, upon the first day of each week ( Acts 20:7)( Matt 26:26-28)( Luke 22:19)( 1 Cor 11:24-25)

6. Communion is EVERY Sunday according to the Bible, this means EVERY Sunday Christians are not to forsake the assembly. ( Heb 10:25)

TERMS OF ENTRANCE INTO THE ONE CHURCH

Christ has all authority ( Matt 28:18-20) and therefore, he has the absolute right to make the terms of admission into his Church. Hence our interest should be what does he require?

Faith is required ( John 8:24) We must believe for without faith it is impossible to please him ( Heb 11:6)faith is the first step toward righteousness ( Rom 10:10) and neccessarily, the first step toward the Church.

Repentance is commanded ( Luke 13:3) repentance is a change of will ( Matt 21:28-31) and leads to life ( Acts 11:19) God commanded all men everwhere to repent ( Acts 17:30)

Confession that Christ is the son of God is neccessary, Christ made the good confession before Pilate, Peter made the good confession " Thou Art the Christ, the Son of the Living God" confession leads to salvation and therefore precede the saved state.

( 1 Tim 6:13) ( Matt 16:16) ( Rom 10:10).

BAPTISM

Baptism is necessary in order to be saved.

Jesus said:"He that believeth and is Baptized shall be Saved"( Mark 16:16)

Faith and Baptism in this passage are joined by the coordinating conjuction (and) coordinate conjunctions join or unite elements of equal rank.

Faith and Baptism are thus joined in this sentence to obtain the same result=Salvation.

"He that Believeth"(item 1)"and is Baptized"(item 2)"Shall be Saved"(item 3)

Paul taught that Baptism is in order to enter into Christ (Gal 3:27)

BAPTISM

Baptism stands between the sinner and the salvation of his soul (Mark. 16:16)(1 Peter3:21)

Baptism stands between the sinner and the remission of sins ( Acts. 2:38)

Baptism stands between the sinner and becoming a child of God ( Gal. 3:26-27)

Baptism stands between the sinner and having his sins washed away ( Acts. 22:16)

Baptism stands between the sinner and getting into Christ ( Rom.6:3)
