Hello, my name is Dustin Lara, and welcome to my fantasy website! I honestly want to thank and welcome you. Its is currently it is under construction, but eventually it should reach its full potential in no time.
I personally, for a span of 5 years, have made concepts for fantasy stories. Since High school, I had loved the realm of Fantasy...their was something about it that captured my attention. Perhaps, it was the sense of wonder...and the complete defiance of natural law. I had never been one to write storys and stick them in the natural, current world, --it simply bored me. And so I continued to draw and make stories throught my time in High School, and came across a website known as Deviant Art. For a year, I began to show people the vague history of my made up world, known as Thera. I didnt expect for so much people to take an actual interest in the story as much, or even more than the artwork itself. This, in turn, got me thinking...
If my ideas have been good, and I continue to make new, good ones, why dont I just make a place for them? My Ideas of this realm called Thera overflowed my expectations, and that is--people actually want to know about it. From its fantastic origins, to its people and thier lives, to its mystery and, yes--even its sense of wonder. Its creatures, its magic, its wars, its gods...
...Im all going to start making them here--thier own stories.
...Or as I like to call it, The Chronicles of Thera.

***-Updates--for July 15th, 2005-***
Hello everyone! Sorry its been such a while since ive updated everything here on my site, but Ive been considerately busy. With work, home affairs (I've moved!), and just my goals of life in general, its been very hard to sit down, take a deep breath and think about my stories. With my small job, ive been saving up for my own computer (yeah, I know--how sad, huh-I use my parents computer-lol). But until then, I have to admit that theyre may not be much updating at this sit foe the time being. I apologize to everyone whom keeps tabs on me, but this should last only the span of 2 months at most. Once I get my own computer, it will make things ALOT easier to update and keep running.
Once again, I'd like to thank all of my friends and fans that visit here. Check back again and you might be suprised ^_^!

***-Updates--for March 25th, 2005-***
Ive taken in the Character index pictures and I've colored them via Wacom and Photoshop. They should look alot better than they did. I also added a bit more to Clovis's story, and some random pictures in it too *nods*. Beleve it or not, but I spent all day on the computer, and thats how much I was able to update-lol.
Well, I should fix Noah's story somethime. Expect there to be alot more pictures of my characters sometime all around this website when I can upload them ^_^. Lord knows, I have my Wacom tablet now, so this should be fun....He he he he he heee...

-Small History: Dustin James Lara (the author of this site"CoT") was born and raised in the United States in southern California. When he was 10 years old, his family moved out to the neighboring state of Arizona. He moved everywhere since, never being in a single place for more than 2 years. He finally settled with his parents and 2 siblings in Goodyear Arizona, the Bum F*** Egypt of Arizona. During this time, he completed his years in High School and took art class. Little did he know, that along the way, he would be piecing togather the stories for the "Chronicles of Thera," Most notably his character 'Clovis.' He has since been envolved with DeviantArt.com, a site dedicated to hosting artwork in a community-based enviorment (at www.flaccidsoul.deviantart.com). |
