My Life with Christ

Many of us may remember the first time we gave our life to Christ; the exact date, the exact time, or what we were doing at that time-perhaps. This page is dedicated for the expression of how your life has changed with Christ and / or what happened when you turned your life to Christ.

If you have never gave your life to Christ, it is my prayer that this page will help you in that step. At the bottom of this page you will find a plan to salvation, which is a very simple plan. I gave my life to Christ during the summer of 1998 in Medford Oklahoma with a friend of mine who attended the same church sitting right next to me. I asked for the Holy Spirit to enter my life, and almost immediately, I felt a surge of joy. We were parked at a rest stop and I could look out into the horizon and see all of nature and it's beauty in Gods creation and I was very thankful. ( Tim ).

* From: ANONYMOUS: I gave my life to Christ as I hit a low point  in my life, and I realized that Jesus bore the ultimate pain for us, and that the battle in whatever we're faced with , it's won already through Christ Jesus.

* I remember the day and year, July 16, 1968. I was baptized and felt the Holy Spirit move over the waters of that baptismal!

* Gave my life to Christ in Iraq after seeing a young boy start to grow through all the chaos, into a wonderful kid.

* ( Lewis: Davenport Iowa ) I gave my life to Christ on Easter, as I was watching the sun rise from the horizon; as the full beauty of nature came into view of the suns rays, and it was then that I came to the realization as I view the expanse of the horizon before me that there was more to life than met the eye....there was a greater purpose, a creator....who's name is Lord!

*Winter of 2007 when we had no power of seven days, when we had to live by simple means; and I was then reminded when the power did come back on, that through those 7 days, I survived and was provided for....even though I didn't think I was going to make it...alot like those who were in the desert and didn't think they'd make it, but God provided manna for them.

* ( Adam ) I was a truck driver, and during a snow storm, was stuck for two days at a travel plaza. All the roads were shut down. The place was crowded, and I saw a family with children sleeping on the floor. I think the children really stuck in my mind with a cold drafty wind blowing everytime someone would open the door. We weren't going anywhere, so I offered up a space in the cab of my truck for the children. Then I realized as I heard some Christmas music playing over the speakers of the truck plaza, that Joseph and mary had a hard time finding room at an inn....and my heart was just touched at the moment....I can't really explain it! But that family and children, they were warm...and I silently said thankyou God, and forgive me!

* ( Tony Clark )  I know for certain that Jesus Christ have totally changed my life.  I was born again when I was 10 years old.  I had been to church many times, but when I was ten years old, I heard the gospel and God began to show me that I was a lost sinner who was going to Hell.  I put off surrendering to Christ for a couple of weeks.  Then on April 3, 1988 Easter Sunday I went to church and heard the gospel again.  After church dismissed I was in tears and in great trouble over my condition.  I went to pray at the altar and I asked the Lord to save me from my sins and to save me from Hell.  I'm not sure how long I prayed, but there was a moment when the sweetest peace entered my heart.  Ever since then, Jesus has been with me in my life.

* ( Nancy ) Gave my life to Christ when I was 16, with a program called "Youth for Christ"....my father was an died as an alcoholic in a fatal car wreck, and my mother was involved in the same an accident that left her paralyzed for the waist down. So I learned that life isn't something that is guaranteed; life is fragile. My mother gave her life to Christ shortly after I gave my life to Christ,,,,,knowing that we both needed strength from above....and the Lolrd has shown us many miracles since then.....she is slowly able to walk again.....AMEN

GODS PLAN OF SALVATION

ALL HAVE SINNED AND GONE ASTRAY

Romans 3:23; For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

SINS PENALTY IS DEATH

Romans 6:23; For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

GOD PAID THE PENALTY FOR YOU

Romans 5:8; But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

YOU MUST RECEIVE HIM

John 1:12; But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege}

SALVATION IS NOT EARNED, BUT IS A FREE GIFT

Ephesians 2:8-9; For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

YOU CAN HAVE ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

John 5:24; Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

What do I have to do to be saved?

  1. Admit that you are a sinner.
  2. Turn from sin (repent).
  3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven.
  4. Believe that he will save you when you ask.
  5. Say the following prayer inviting Jesus into your life to become your personal savior.

Just say this prayer with all your heart and you can become a Christian, be saved and have eternal life.

This prayer is intended to be a guide to help you pray.

Heavenly Father, I admit that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus Christ shed his precious blood and died for my sin on the cross, and rose again on the third day. I believe the Bible is the Word of God. I accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior and ask him to come into my heart as my personal savior. I pray in Jesus' name, Amen.

    God Bless You!

If you said this prayer and really feel that God has saved you, the Monterey Free Will Baptist Church congregation would like to be the first to welcome you to the family of God. Go tell someone about our Lord, Jesus Christ, and how you now have eternal life. Today is your day of salvation. Always remember it and be proud to be a Christian.

I'm a Christian! Now what must I do?

    1. Read your Bible every day to get to know Jesus Christ better.
    2. Be baptized, worship and serve Christ in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is the final authority.
    3. Tell others about Jesus Christ.
    4. Talk to God in prayer every day.
    5. Join a good bible believing church and let God use you for his glory.
    6. Every chance you get, Praise His Holy Name!
