Disaster Support
Words and numbers cannot express the amount of sympathy and support needed by those affected and impacted by the recent natural disasters; which include the rash of hurricanes battering the US coastlands, as well as disasters throughout the world to include flooding in India, to name a few that have struck the globe we call earth in recent days, weeks, and months. Lifestyles, routines, places of comfort and shelter have all been changed in an instant. Loved ones have been lost, and the process of rebuilding seems to be overwhelming.
This page has been set up as a support page for those affected and impacted by natural disasters to encourage one another through the comment space above ( and which the comments can flow on and on ). It's in times like these that love, encouragement and support is truly shown, and if you weren't direclty impacted, you may leave words or support and encouragement as well....this page is for everyone to come together, to unite and help one another.....
We live on an earth that is always moving. Think of the sound of pine tree branches swaying in the wind. Recall the smell of the earth when one
plants flowers or vegetables. Think of the sound of the ocean water crashing against rocks and beaches. This is the earth, at turns whispering and wailing.
The earth cries out in other ways too: the winds that move waters to destroy communities and peoples, fire that can burn thousands of acres of trees. We, humans are part of the earth that is groaning. We are part of that biosphere that can enable wondrous works or by our lack of vision and understanding,
destroy life. We pray for all those who are suffering as a result of natural disasters across all nations, that they may find comfort, peace and hope; that they may find courage as they begin the rebuilding process...and faith in the days and months ahead. AMEN
