God is a Spirit, and not man made Images, Artwork etc.

Think of a Red Apple.

When you think of an apple, did you have an Image(Picture) of an apple appear in your thoughts?

Now think of a Happy Face you might see on the Internet, or in one of your emails, and instant messenger etc.

 Did you think of an image like this  or like this =) or did you use your Imagination, and picture a person with a smile?

Question:

Now think of what Jesus Christ look's like to you?

What images do you picture in your thoughts, and Imaginations?

Is the Image that you pictured really how God appears?

Have you ever Prayed with thoughts of the picture (Image)

 The Pictures(Images) shared on the Internet, Web sites (myspace etc) TV, and movies etc. can't possibly describe the Dimensional(Spiritual) Beauty, Glory, and Power of Seeing our Wonderful King Jesus Christ In his beautiful Heavenly body.

One must Pray, and (worship God in Spirit) and cast away man made Images from ones Imaginations!


God is a Spirit

John 4:24

(God is a Spirit) and they that (worship him (must) worship him (in spirit and in the truth)

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.


The hour cometh, and NOW is,

John 4:23-24

But (the hour cometh, and now is) when the (true) worshippers shall (worship the Father in spirit and in truth) for (the Father seeketh such to worship him)

(God is a Spirit) and they that worship him (must) worship him in spirit and in truth)

The real Jesus Christ is in Heaven y/n

 

Exodus 20:4

(Thou shalt not) make unto thee (any) graven (image)

 

(or any likeness of any thing) that is (in heaven above)

 

or that is in the earth beneath,
or that is in the water under the earth:

 

Are so-called jesus Images, Pictures, Artwork, Cartoons etc, The likeness of any thing in Heaven y/n

 

Any likeness of (any thing) It's there in the Word of God, and since the Lord Jesus Christ is in Heaven, We are to cease from using mere man to depict the very Son of God!

 

The Second Commandment prohibits making material representations of His Person. Exodus 20:4

 

The Scripture Acts 17:29 is sharing that God, Must not be made into Images, Pictures, Artwork etc. Made by the hands of man. It's talking to those who know about God, and desire to follow him the right way.

-Interesting to know without (stone)Rocks, and minerals, many of the gadgets, and gizmos you depend on every day - including the computer you are using to read this - could not exist.

 

-Many computers today use (stone) Rocks, Minerals, Gold, and Silver on printed circuit boards, and some monitors use electronic liquid crystals to make the Images you see. (Now the words from the scriptures Shared do not sound so old do they) like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by (art) and man's device)

 

Acts 17:29-30
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we (ought not to think) that (the Godhead) is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by (art) and man's device)

 

30And the times of this ignorance God winked at, but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

 

-Computers, and Televisions (TV's) around the World, Can make Images, Pictures (art) with man's device)

 

One must Pray, and (worship God in Spirit) and cast away man made Images from ones (Imaginations Romans 1:21)

 

How can anyone create a man made Image (Picture) Artwork or Figure of the Living God that is a Eternal Spirit, and Invisible unless they use their Imaginations?

 

Invisible, The only wise God

1 Timothy 1:17

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, (invisible) the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

 

 

True faith sees without natural eyes. There is a spiritual glory that belongs to the Lord God alone, and cannot be seen with mortal eye today.

(not by sight)

 

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith, (not by sight)

 

(the evidence of things (not seen)

 

Hebrews 11:1

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, (the evidence of things (not seen)

 

Romans 1:21-25
(And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an (image) made like to corruptible man)

John 20:29

(Jesus) saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed (blessed) are they that have not seen) and yet have believed.

 

Isaiah 42:8

I am the LORD: that is my name: and (my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven (images)

 

Eye hath not seen

 

1 Corinthians 2:9-16

 

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God, that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.

 

 The things which are not seen are eternal.

 

2 Corinthians 4:18

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

 

Whom having not seen

1 Peter 1:8

Whom having not seen, ye love, in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory.

 

Today, There are so-called jesus action figures, jesus machine-washable dolls, and jesus pictures, Images, Artwork, and cartoons. STOP the Children from being conditioned to walk by sight rather than by faith. One must Wake up, and STOP from being conditioned to accept man's invention(imagination) of what they believe Jesus Christ to look like. The things of God are spiritually discerned, and we are to look unto Him by faith.

 

Christ may dwell in your heart, by FAITH. It does not say man made Images, Pictures, Artwork (imagination) on ones wall, Web site, Myspace etc.

Ephesians 3:17 

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by (Faith) that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

 

Jesus Christ is described in the Book of Revelation, as having WHITE HAIR, FEET LIKE POLISHED BRASS, AND EYES LIKE FLAMES OF FIRE. How can one possibly depict that in any man made Images? ONE CANNOT! Even if they attempt to use Imagination to create man made Images, They can't share the True Glory, and Power of God who is a SPIRIT...

Revelation 1:12-16

And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,

13And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto (the Son of Man) clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

14(His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow) and (his eyes were as a flame of fire)

15And (his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters)

16And he had in his right hand seven stars: and (out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength)

We hope for that we see not...

Romans 8:24-25

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?

25But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Psalm 39:7

And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.

Psalm 71:5

For thou art my hope, O Lord GOD: thou art my trust from my youth.

Now is The Hour To Worship God in Spirit, and in the Truth.

God wants us to Love, and Worship him in Spirit (The Living God)

a graven image as the similitude of any figure, Male, Female etc. As shared in Deuteronomy 4:16-19, and also read Exodus 20:4

Similitude is as Similarity, Likeness, Resemblance, Representation.

Deuteronomy 4:16-19

Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
