When it comes to Osteen's writing styles in his book Your Best Life Now, a lot of people have one opinion. They all say that his ability to inspire is far more than just his trademark smiling face. Indeed, because Your Best Life Now is said to promise to give anyone a good look at what it really is like to live life to the fullest.

Osteen structures his book by giving seven steps to his readers namely 'Enlarge Your Vision', 'Develop a Healthy Self-Image', 'Discover the Power of Your Thoughts', 'Let Go of the Past', 'Find Strength Through Adversity', 'Live to Give' and 'Choose to be Happy'. The book opens by Osteen narrating a short situation where he and a friend talks about their views on a great vacation place in Hawaii. His friend states that he could not think of himself being able to live in such a good place. Osteen then contradicted his friend through saying that everything we plan to achieve in life could only be possible by having a vision of it.

It was a great start for the book, and a good way for Osteen to open the minds of his readers. By convincing people that they should open their thoughts for possibilities, he both gives them a lifetime advice at the same time preparing them for the upcoming lessons he wish to talk about. The following chapters are stated with the same inspiring flow of messages. But, in one certain portion of the book, Osteen talks about entrusting all we have to God and His plans. And even if Osteen obviously hoped to give a good advice with this, his arrangement of words unintentionally says that people should just wait for God to do everything. Except that, Your Best Life Now is cleverly filled with a lot of inspirational thoughts.

However, one undeniable reason as to why this book has become a best-seller is that because Joel Osteen has millions upon millions of followers. Not to mention, some of them are famous personalities as well. For instance, there is the remarkable actor Chuck Norris who has a liege of followers himself. And then there is the coach of the big-time NBA team Los Angeles Lakers Rudy Tomjanovich.
