Joyce Meyer's name has been echoing for years because of her unwavering offer of assistance to women all over the globe, and now she takes on the battle of confidence with The Confident Woman. Whenever gender comparisons are made, we are aware that women are more insecure compared to men. This is how our society has always been, the men are the strong ones and the women are the weak ones. Even though this "rule" has been set aside for a long time now since the modern way of things have proven equality between men and women, a lot of females are still eaten by self-doubt. Why do you believe is that?

The Confident Woman is constructed in an easy-to-comprehend form that is applicable for women of all ages. And since this is written by Christian author Joyce Meyer, this book is filled with religious context. The Confident Woman starts off with a retelling of the first biblical story, the life of Adam and Eve. Using this example, Meyer shows that men and women have been created equal ever since the beginning and there is no reason for them to hate each other. For the succeeding portions of her book, Meyer lays more passages and verses from the Bible to help readers rid of the "Woman vs. Man" misconception.

But, The Confident Women does not talk about the differences of men and women alone, but it also tackles the pressures coming from the same gender. The book gives a thorough trip to the different moments in the past, showing readers the exact things on various times that caused the modern day women to have insecurities. We all know about the images that makes a woman ideal: prim, meek, smart, reserved, and the list goes on. But Meyer says that these are not what women are really all about, these are the collected misconceptions. But what's disappointing is that a lot of women are actually living up to follow these rules.

Meyer also talks about fear and how it becomes the root problem of why most women curl down and refuse to let loose of their true selves. And she also talks about the only weapon that women can use to win against their fears, a strong belief in God. This is because above all things, the only way that people can really find confidence in themselves is through having confidence in God.

Joyce Meyer did an amazing job when it comes to defining everything that makes women fearless. With her straight and clear elaboration of the seven characteristics that makes a confident woman, every woman can easily apply it to themselves. Things that happen to women are not really as simple as we believe, for they all somehow add up to the lack of confidence that most women feel. The Confident Woman's message is very forward, it is not completely original, but any woman will surely learn to find security in her self.
