Hi and welcome to the website of Chris Pye Motorsports. Racing is in the blood of the Pye family with Father Ian having raced from the 1970's through to 1998, before starting Chris off in his Legends Car. 2008 saw the 3rd generation of the Pye family hit the track when Chris's eldest Son Kallum had an outing in the Novice Juniors non contact formula at Horndean. It is ironic that Ian starting oval racing a Mini in the 1970s and now over 30 years on, Chris & Kallum are racing them too.
The 2009 season has now ended, which saw the team fielding 2 cars, and at some meeting there were 3 drivers racing in team colours with the return of Chris' Sister in Law Danni Reader sharing Kallum's Car. The season had a number of highs and a number of lows, which included a trophy for Kallum, and the bad accident in August that saw Chris write off the former Steve Diaper Mini.
In 2010, Chris is now reviewing the options available to him, and there is a consideration to move to a national formula again, such as Legends/Stock Rods or even Hot Rods. If Chris decides to stay at SAA, then he'll either be out in a new mini or another more powerful formula with a new car. We therefore are desperate for some sponsorship and would love to talk to anyone who is in a position to help, large or small.

The photo above was taken on Sunday 11th October at Horndean by Jeffrey Parrish of Autograss Review, when Chris used Kallum's car to compete in the NASA vs SEGTO meeting. Having raced the car twice a number of problems have been found with the car, including a lack of brakes and wrong gearing and suspension set up. Therefore this car will be going to DB Motorsport over the coming months to be improved ready for 2010. Hopefully Chris will race it again at the 2010 EXPO event at Arena Essex on Jan 23rd/24th 2010, thus ensuring it is better for Kallum in 2010.
