Frequently Asked Questions

_______________________________________________

How can I contact you to make arrangements for a commission?

My contact information is at the bottom of my homepage.  Generally, it's easiest to contact me by e-mail because I check my e-mail regularly.  E-mail is also a quick and easy way to get your reference photo to me.

How am I to make payment?

I accept Visa and Mastercard by phone, e-mail or in person, and I've established a Paypal account that makes paying on-line quick and easy.  I also accept checks and international money orders.

What about shipping?

I don't generally include shipping charges for smaller works.  For larger pieces and pieces that are framed, I charge actual shipping charges.  I am always willing to try to ship according to your instructions.

Can you framed a matted work?

I do most of my own custom framing.  My pieces are usually framed in Larsen-Juhl mahogany black-dot or 225BL,  which is an elegant and simple black frame.  I find that these two work with most decors.  I will be happy to frame a matted work for an additional cost.

Do you teach classes?

Yes, I teach classes and give private lessons for a surprisingly modest price; I teach general art, painting, advanced watercolor and basic stained glass.  I am usually able to arrange classes or lessons to suit your schedule.

Why are your prices so low?

My prices are some of the lowest you'll find for custom portraiture.  I have painted hundreds of portraits of animals and people over the years, and my pricing reflects my enjoyment of the work I do.  It's important to me that you're satisfied with the work that I do, both in the quality of the work and in the cost.  In order for me to compete effectively, I keep my prices reasonable.  After all, satisfied customers tell their friends.

Do you have exhibitions of your work?

Absolutely.  My work is on display or for sale in several galleries in Georgia and South Carolina, and I'll soon be expanding to other areas.  I also have a gallery of my own at 809 Hill Street in LaGrange, Georgia;  I've had museum exhibitions, and I regularly exhibit and sell my work at art festivals and shows.  If you are interested in my upcoming events, I invite you to e-mail me for a complete list.

Can you ship internationally?

Certainly!  I am proud to say that my work hangs on walls all over the world - Germany, England, The Philippines, Australia - you name it.  There is occasionally a small extra charge for international shipping, but I am always happy to ship anywhere worldwide.
