Heyas! Read this before moving on, plz!
Hello to one and all! I am S. E. Cattaneo, and this is my site, as you can very well see. Unless you forgot your glasses this morning. And then you can't. Anyway, this site is for posting the story I'm writing. It's called The Chosen. What i'm writing now is Book 1. In addition to posting this story, which I will update by chapter as soon as I get them written down, I'll have a forum for replies and feedback, so please use it! Blurb to story(heh heh...funny word)
One thousand years ago, Earth was trapped in a war. A being by the name of Expo that fed off chaos terrorized the people of Earth, and the world that is connected to it: Cephiro. With the help of the Chosen, the guardians of the magical core that bound the two worlds, the gods managed to seal him away and end the war.
But Earth was never the same again. Torn apart by war, the levels of magic declined until those that still believed in the old ways were laughed at and locked away from "proper society". They never saw it. They never believed in it again, and Cephiro disappeared from their minds.
Matt was raised in this society, and thought witchcraft and magic was just a load of bull. He never expected to be pulled into Cephiro by a girl he met on a walk home through Central Park in the middle of the night. Takiko has long black hair, turquoise eyes, and is nothing like he has ever seen in New York. She tells him he is one of the Chosen, the new generation, adn the first one to Awaken in the thousand years since the war. She is the Chosen of Air. He is the Chosen of Soul.
But their meeting is not only coincidence. Expo, the cause of the Great War of a thousand years past, is growing in power once more, fueled by his worshippers on Earth and Cephiro. His chains are growing weaker by the day, and soon Matt and Takiko will be forced into a conflict that is over a thousand years old, discovering along the way, that, on Cephiro, anything can happen, and nothing is ever as it seems.
