Name Pronunciation: KRIS-pin ah-loo-sin-or AY-ling
Age: Twenty-two (22)
Birthday: September 5
Zodiac: Virgo
Favorite Color: Black/Blue
Favorite Food: Fresh berries and "red" grapes
Least Favorite Food: Salmon roe sushi
Favorite Pastime: When he's not trying to keep Gabriel out of trouble, he enjoys getting lost in a good book while listening to calming music.
Likes: Things he can plan for, things he can adjust to, everything running smoothly, classical music, good literature, his second cousin/almost brother enjoying himself without being exposed to a more-dangerous-than-usual situation, "steady" situations, people who tell the truth, intellectuals, discussing serious issues before they can turn into problems
Dislikes: Deceitful people, attempts on Gabriel's life, discordant sounds, destruction of knowledge, ignorance, unexpected tangles in "the plan," mindless violence, the Shien, procrastination, the threatening of innocents, problems he can't work out
Hobbies: Composing music for the violin and piano, working on turning his journals into his memoirs, taking long, reflective walks, spending time with his younger cousins, spending time having conversations with his elder cousins, chasing after Gabriel to keep him reasonably safe, honing his Elita powers, taking care of whatever Gabriel forgets, reminding Gabriel of the things he forgot (those last four aren't hobbies so much as responsibilities, but Crispin understands and doesn't really mind)
Dream: To spend the rest of his life in peace with those he cares about the most, knowing that they and everyone else is safe.
Home: Crispin lives in his own place, a large but well-furnished stylized Noveau-Victorian mansion right next to Gabriel's, in case anything goes wrong unexpectedly.
School: Crispin attends Amber University, where he majors in Business and takes several Liberal Arts courses as well.
Family:
Mother-Thelial (Angel of Love) Inluminai , deceased; Thelial was a quiet, soft-spoken woman who died when her only son Crispin was five. He doesn't remember much about her, only that she was very beautiful, with soft gray eyes and brightly golden hair, and that she always told him to do his best "for the future." Crispin listened to his mother's words, and carries them with him, a lasting monument to her, to this day.
Father-Ramiel (Angel of Thunder) Inluminai , age 53; Ramiel has the same golden-blond hair as his year-older cousin Evangeline, and his blue-green eyes sparkle with mirth absent from the eyes of his son. He's an active man, given to jokes and grins and taking pleasure in his position of Ceredian Inc.'s R & D department, and is very much the outgoing businessman, unlike his introspective son. Despite their differences in temperament and attitude, Ramiel and Crispin share a close father-son bond, which was possibly strengthened when Thelial died and Ramiel was left to raise their son. He understands that Crispin has more responsibility than he himself could imagine, and knows that the young man's serious mindset will serve him well in the days to come. Ramiel loved his wife Thelial very much, and though he no longer grieves over her death he still misses her greatly, and has not taken another wife.
Friends:
Silvan Argentine-The older brother of Silvia Argentine, he's as close to Crispin as his sister is to Gabriel. Silvan is Crispin's conversational partner, sharing many of his literary and musical interests, and they often have discussions on one topic or another, whenever Crispin has the time. Silvan's one of the few people who understands Crispin's responsibilities, which means he knows that their friendship will always come after duty, but he accepts this fact gracefully. He looks a lot like his sister, but his eyes are light blue instead of black, and his hair is cut conservatively short, in preparation for his future position as a future executive of his family's expansive real-estate and utilities company.
Gabriel Aisling -Second cousin and charge to Crispin, Gabriel is also his best friend, just about the only person able to get the stoic Crispin to smile. They've known each other literally all of Gabriel's life, and the two are more like brothers than second cousins. Gabriel is sunny, outgoing, fun-loving, relaxed, and a constant source of activity, which can make Crispin's duty of keeping him safe a bit difficult at times. Gabriel doesn't do it on purpose, though, and Crispin accepts his charge's trouble-magnet personality as the part of him that it is. Gabriel is also an Elita, the psychic Seer known as Yasin ), and this just provides more opportunities for Crispin to test his Gabriel-saving skills. Gabriel is as loyal to Crispin as Crispin is to him, and will be extra careful in dangerous situations to prevent harm coming to Crispin, knowing that his cousin will take any oncoming dangers head-on for him, and unwillingly to have Crispin, or anybody else, hurt for his sake.
Meryl Hallwood -A petite, attractive brunette with knowledgeable cinnamon eyes, Meryl is a sympathetic listener and a close friend of Crispin's. She knows that words aren't always necessary with him, and understands his feelings about the place he has in everything. She's willing to offer sound advice if it's needed, and she knows when to let Crispin have his space. Meryl once had a big crush on Crispin, but she never mentioned it to him and gradually came to accept that there was no place for romance in his life, at least not for the moment. She easily made the transition from "potential girlfriend" to "close friend," and has never regretted that decision, though she'll always be waiting for him if he ever decides he's ready for love.
Lovelife: Despite being young, rich, and attractive, his focus on his responsibilities puts a definite cramp in his social life. In all honesty, he just isn't sure if he could handle a relationship in addition to everything else, and having a girlfriend would mean one more person he'd feel he'd have to protect.
Strengths: Crispin is collected in even the most outrageous of situations, and usually is able to calmly develop a workable plan in the face of immense odds. He deals with stress extremely well, and is naturally possessed of an unusually high intelligence. Due to his training, he is very quick and agile, making good use of speed-dependent martial arts, and he's an excellent shot with the bow-and-arrow, crossbow, or firearm, rarely missing a visible target; he can assemble nine different types of small arms blindfolded under two minutes. He makes a competent field leader, keeping his cool at almost all times, but he follows the orders of others with exact precision when he knows that they have more right to leadership then he.
Weaknesses: When confronted by a situation that he can't solve, or a problem that he can't overcome, Crispin becomes highly unresponsive to outside help, taking his inability to DO anything as a personal fault and failure. He can also be so unbiased that he hurts his own chances of succeeding, and when he feels that his is the best choice of action he will be unyielding about it until he's proven wrong. He takes his duties as Elita and Gabriel's protector to heart, and will take out any threat or opposition with an impassive attitude that may bother some, and tends to discomfit his cousin. When he knows that his plan is best, he may go ahead and carry it out without consulting with someone first, as he doesn't believe in hesitating when it comes to an important matter. Though he never takes a life without unfalliable reason, he WAS raised to the concept that he would most likely have to kill one day; when the death of the enemy is the most expedient course, he carries it out without remorse, because he doesn't let anything come between him and the safety of Desmond and those he cares about.
Appearance: Looking like a slightly taller, more refined version of Gabriel, Crispin has bright golden-blond hair and dark storm-blue eyes. He's built tall and willowy, his slim 6'0" form looking almost fragile, but the frailness is deceptive; he's extremely quick, fast, and agile, though not at a superhuman level, and there's liquid steel in his movements.
Clothing: Crispin prefers somber colors, usually wearing impeccable but conservative slacks, blazers, and shirts in various shades of blue and gray, and he sticks to this color scheme even in hot weather. (As an aside, Gabriel swears that Crispin doesn't feel heat or cold, as the guy barley sweats or shivers, no matter what he's wearing, no matter what temperature it is, EVER.)
Personality: Crispin is, by nature, a quiet, serious person; his duties and responsibilities come first. This has only been enhanced by his training as a future Elita warrior, eventual Ceredian Inc. executive, and Gabriel's protector, making him seem cold to others because of the impersonal way he behaves. While it is true that he tends to avoid becoming too close to other people, he cares a lot about anyone who remains persistent enough-or stubborn enough-to get under his skin. He has a photographic memory, which comes in handy fairly often, and has a close relationship with his father, though he's as non-demonstrative as his father is easy-going. He's unwaveringly loyal to Gabriel, serving as a confidant, older brother, guardian, and yes, occasional accomplice, and though Crispin has a stern, serious side that makes Gabriel buckle down whether he wants to or not, the two are as close as could be, and Crispin would willingly give his life for his "brother." Crispin also has a steady perseverance that makes it almost impossible to get him to change his mind, for better or for worse.
History: Crispin was born the only child of Ramiel and Thelial Inluminai, cousin and cousin-in-law to Evangeline Inluminai, who were both high-ranked CEOs at their family's company, Inluminai Ltd. His father had faint use of the Sight, and sensed that his son was destined for great things. Gabriel was an exceptional baby, learning how to walk and speak sooner than most children, and when he was two years old his second cousin, Gabriel, was born. When the two year-old Crispin was introduced to the cooing infant Gabriel, each Sight-gifted member of the family suddenly KNEW that these second cousins were bound by bonds deeper than that of mere blood. Even Crispin, who had the Sight faintly when he was younger, felt that he was somehow connected to his new relative. Incidentally, young Crispin also foresaw the death of his mother when he was five years old. The patriarch of the family, Evangeline's father, possessed strong Sight, and he foresaw that Crispin would, in the future, need the ability to handle anything. So, when Crispin was only five, his preparation began. He was taught at an accelerated rate, learning quickly because of his high intelligence, and at the same time he was trained in martial arts, learning the sword arts when he was ten, training with firearms when he was fourteen. As he grew, he became an intelligent, quiet young man, handsome if somewhat delicate-looking, and closest companion of Gabriel, despite their being almost direct opposites. Throughout their lives, Gabriel would always be the impulsive one, Crispin the one running damage control. Crispin would be called upon more than a few times to protect his charge, as the heir to the controlling communications tech. company was the target of attempted kidnappings and assassasinations, usually prevented almost solely by the action and/or planning of Crispin. Though he wasn't antisocial, his duty to Gabriel took up most of his time, and he grew up to be a very focused person. When he was sixteen and Gabriel fourteen, Gabriel had a vision of immense power, illustrating what their future would be like. At this time, Crispin's power of creating shields manifested, at the price of him losing his ability to utilize the "Second Sight." It was an inevitable sacrifice made willingly by Crispin, who knew that his abilities as an Elita would allow him to best serve and protect those important to him.

Name: Akiva
Special Ability: In battle, Akiva's special ability is the power to project "aura-shields," which are formed from his own aura and can change size and shape. Though they are incredibly versatile, they become weaker with every additional person they have to cover, while his "self," his strength, is drained in direct proportion to the length of time that those shields are kept erected. Later in the battle against the Shien, Akiva learns to use his shields as offensive weapons, trapping enemies within them and contracting the shields until the person or object inside is crushed. When his shields are used defensively, they're a bright blue; when used offensively, they glow dark violet.
Weapon: Akiva's weapon, which he wields with great skill and grace in both his Elita persona and his identity as Crispin, is a shining silver sword. Double-bladed and strongly-tempered, the sword is unbearably heavy to anyone else who tries to lift it, be it normal human, Shien, or even another Elita; Akiva carries it with one hand as if it were a feather. The sword of Akiva has a silver blade and a dark-blue hilt with a semi-organic appearence. This weapon is attuned specifically to Akiva, acting as an extension of himself, and automatically extends a shield similar to his up to his wrist when he has it in hand. The hilt is set with a storm-blue stone that is perched like an eye on a stalk-like protrusion; this gem works as an indication gauge for Akiva's shields, glowing brightly when Akiva uses his Elita power and turning blue or violet as the shields' usage changes.
Mark Location: Akiva's mark is located on his right ankle.
Uniform: Akiva's uniform is a dark blue-gray bodysuit, semi-fitted to facilitate easy movement in battle. Over the bodysuit, he wears a pearl-white jacket bordered in black that falls to just about mid-thigh and ends in an inverted V-shape, with a pocket near the jacket's bottom, on either side and the jacket's front. Four pairs of gold studs run down the jacket's front, which is held closed by a golden chain latched onto a gold clasp shaped into a phoenix's crest and set with a polished ruby. Akiva's high collar is laced shut with a periwinkle-blue silk scarf, elaborately knotted, and to protect his hands against minor injuries Akiva wears storm-blue, black-bordered gloves that both end in an inverted V-shape. And, well, that's it, really.
