Cross Country

2005

On Sunday 16th January we had our Sector cross country run at Horsenden Hill Perivale. There were about 30 units competing this year with one of the biggest turnout for cadets in the last decade. Over 100 junior boys and 30 junior girls. We entered a team of 4 in the junior boy’s event and we had an individual runner in the junior girl’s event.

The boy’s team had a great race and finished 5th overall, with our junior female doing better winning her race!

SSI Haran

 Sunday 12th of September was our sector swimming competition at the Shell centre up at Waterloo.

The event went extremely well with our cadets finishing in the top 3 of all their heats, and Cdt Pritchard got a silver medal in the 50m backstroke in a frilling race which was won by a fingertip.

The unit performed well and finished 4th in the Junior Boys competition.

I even got a race in an Instructors Vs Cadets race which the cadets might as well have not turned up for, because they got beat big time.

Cdt Pritchard was picked for the regional team to represent the sector against the best of London.

I would like to thank Cdt Pritchard and all the cadets from Chiswick for putting in 100% effort.
