Seth Evans Commits

The University of Wisconsin Green-Bay and head coach Tod Kowalczyk have landed their first commitment for the class of 09, coming from one of the state of Illinois most underrated players: 6-0 guard Seth Evans of Seneca high school.

Evans is a hard-nosed playmaker with a great feel for the game. He is a great outside shooter and can make plays away from the ball or with the ball in his hands. He can play either guard slot, and is comfortable in both a scorers or passers role. Evans makes any team he is on better, as he not only is great offensively, but is also very strong, quick, and smart: which makes him a very good defender.

Evans competed on the AAU circuit with Troy Johnson’s Illinois stars. Evans was just one of the many highly regarded prospects on the 16u stars, as the team also featured Illinois commit DJ Richardson, Xavier Humphrey, James Kinney, and many other Division I prospects. Evans was a role player for the stars, and impressed college coaches at various national events with his passing, defense, and three point shooting ability.

This season Evans is the leader for a young Seneca team, a role he is used to as he was also one of Seneca’s main scoring options last year. As a freshman, Evans was a key role-player on a Seneca squad that won the class A title.

Evans chose Wisconsin Green-Bay over interest from North Dakota St, South Dakota St, Xavier, and others.
