Prosser visits a Pair

By: Cavan Walsh- Mid State Editor

This past weekend 6-7 junior forward Jordan Prosser embarked on yet another exciting weekend of college visits, this time making stops at Louisville and Kentucky.

Saturday, Prosser trekked around University of Kentucky; attending the football game, watching practice, and checking out all of the great facilities they have to offer. "It was a good visit,” said Prosser. “We went up Friday night and stayed with some family. Then Saturday we went over and watched the football game, watched the practices, and toured the campus.”

Prosser liked everything he saw, and had no complaints "I really liked the practice facility: it is brand new and cost like thirty-three million dollars,” he stated. Prosser's visit was not his first time visiting Kentucky, although it was his first since Kentucky's new staff took over. He got a chance to spend a little time with each member of the staff, most notably head coach Billy Gillispie and assistant coach Tracy Webster.

On his way back to Illinois, Prosser and his family stopped off at Louisville and checked out a team practice. "It was pretty good; I talked with the coaches for a few minutes, hung out, and then got back on the road. They just got a new practice facility also and it is really nice." Prosser had also visited Louisville once before and again enjoyed his time on campus.

Prosser is currently sitting on eight division one offers. Bradley, Illinois State, Xavier, Southern Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin have all offered. Many other schools are showing interest, including Clemson, Virginia, Georgetown, Illinois, Louisville, and Kentucky. Kentucky is expressing the most and interest of these schools, and Prosser could see an offer soon. "I want to say Kentucky is (going to offer) because they come to my practices all the time. They are waiting for the head coach just to come and watch me."

Prosser has toured the campus of nearly all schools that are actively involved in his recruiting, and has not set a time table on a decision. For the latest on Prosser, keep it with Illinoishsbasketball.com
