Game 1 Kings vs Suns 6:00 main gym
Kings: The Kings are led by the #1 player in the state: 6-4 G Iman Shumpert (Oak Park River Forest) - a Georgia Tech commitment. The are a well rounded team, as they also have a productive wing player in senior Sean Croegart-Key (Evanston), as well as a productive post presence in 6-6 junior Aaron Nelson (Bloom).
Other players to watch: junior G Adrian Hampton, senior F Brian Peel (GBN)
Suns: Offensively, the Suns are one of the top teams in the league, as senior wing Jeremy McCray (Evanston) is one of the top offensive players in the league and is known to put points on the board quickly.
Other players to watch: junior SF Eric Dortch (Evanston), freshman G Garrett Jones (Evanston)
Game 2 Bulls vs Spurs 8:00 gym 108
Bulls: The Bulls are led by Illinois’ latest division 1 commit, as 6-8 PF Jawann Nelson (Bloom) gave his verbal commitment to Texas A&M Corpus Christi after a visit last weekend. The Bulls are very deep at all perimeter positions, as they have had numerous different leading scorers over the last 6 weeks, such as freshman Jack Ryan (GBS) who led the Bulls with 19 points. Senior PG Deshawn Dockery (Hillcrest) will be the driving force behind the Bulls as he attempts to lead them to victory.
Other players to watch for: freshman G Rashad Wahab (Lincoln Park), junior wing Matt Sullivan (Loyola), sophomore G Ryan Frazier-Chambers (Evanston), sophomore G Alex Dragecivich (GBN), sophomore G Joe Latulip.
Spurs: The Spurs have a very solid core of players, and are anchored by their man in the middle- 7-0 junior C Kyle Rowley (Lake Forest Academy). Rowley is one of the few players in the league that will be able to contain Jawann Nelson. On the perimeter they will not be short on scoring power, as senior G Nate Bateman (Lake Forest Academy), and senior G DeAntwan “Buckets” Jackson are scoring machines. Two weeks ago “Buckets: put up the league single game scoring record of 38 points. Bateman is one of the top unsigned seniors in the state.
Other players to watch: junior wing Sammy Herman (New Trier), junior G Sylvester DeSane (GBS), sophomore F Michal Banczer (Lake Forest Academy), junior Wally Arebesola (Kenwood)
Game 3 Mavericks vs Rockets 7:00 main gym
Mavericks: One of the most consistent teams in the league, the Mavs are led by Lockport teammates 6-6 F Justin Jarosz and 6-3 G Brian Bradley. Jarosz is a very good rebounder and a superb shooter, while Bradley is a stellar scorer and passer.
Other players to watch: 6-8 junior C Mack Darrow.
Rockets: The Rockets have looked very good of late, as they are led by their recent addition: 6-9 senior F Luke Fabrizius (Hersey)- a Dayton commit. Fabrizius is long and is a spectacular shooter. The Rockets will have senior PF Travis Clark (Evanston) holding down the post, and senior G Brian DeSimone (Buffalo Grove) running the point. Clark is a solid and productive post player, while DeSimone is one of the top point guards in the state.

Game 4 Magic vs Pacers 7:00 gym 108
Magic: One of the league’s top players will lead the Magic in senior F Derryan Hunt (Evanston). Hunt is one of the top scorers and top rebounders in the league, and is very hard to stop. Sophomore wing Marin Kukoc (Highland Park) has been shooting it very well from long range lately for the Magic.
Other players to watch: senior G Ke’Jaun Little, senior G Marcus Acree (OPRF)
Pacers: The Pacers are led by one of the top guards in the league in senior Detroit commit- Donovan Foster. Foster is productive on defense and offense, and is a great passer who can also score points at will against weaker guards. 6-8 Sophomore Philip Jackson (Providence St. Mel) will be holding down the post for the Pacers. Jackson is one of the most talented young post prospects in the state.
Other players to watch: sophomore F Sharrod Wilson (Simeon), senior wing David Dixon (St. Joes), freshman G Greg Travis (Curie)
Game 5 Lakers vs Cavaliers 8:00 gym 104
Lakers: Arguably the most talented team in the league, the Lakers are not short of big time talents. The fastest rising prospect in the state heads the Lakers in 6-5 Indiana State commit Carl Richard (Richards). Richard is one of the top offensive and defensive players in the league. Offensively he can light it up from outside or take it inside for some monster dunks. 6-7 junior F Tyler Ponticelli (GBN) also is one of the top players in the league, and works very well with Richard for the Lakers on both ends of the floor.
Other players to watch: senior G Alan Clark (Mt. Carmel), senior G Jim Hayes (Mt. Carmel)
Cavaliers: The Cavs are also arguably one of the top teams in the league, as they are led by 6-9 Eastern Michigan Commit Kamil Janton (Bartlett) in the post, and 6-5 Penn commit Rob Belcore (Loyola) on the perimeter. Senior G Lewis Brown (GBS) has been lighting it up from three point range the last few weeks for the Cavs.

Game 6 Pistons vs Heat 6:00 gym 108
Pistons: The south suburban-led squad features the top unsigned post prospect in Illinois: 6-6 PF Paris Carter (T.F. South). Carter, who is a beast on the offensive and defensive boards, can score the ball with ease on smaller teams. Carter is one of the most productive players in the league. Carter will team up with junior wing Rasjaun “Rossi” Thompson (TF South), one of the top scorers in the league. Senior PG TJ Malone (Notre Dame) will be controlling the team, and trying to lead the Pistons to the championship. Senior wing Dylan Richter (Stevenson) is one of the top D2/D3 prospects in the state.

Heat: Last week, the Heat showed that they could contend with anyone as they dominated the Bulls in all areas of the game. 6-8 junior F Todd Zifirovski (Lake Forest Academy) had a breakout game scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 boards. Junior G David Smith (Lake Forest Academy) has been one of the hottest players in the state of late, as he has been dominant on the offensive end. Sophomore G Greg Tucker (Whitney Young) is also a big time offensive threat. 7-1 C Aziz Ndaye also might join back on with the Heat for the playoffs.

Timberwolves: Arguably the most talented team in the league, the wolves are led by junior G John Taylor (North Lawndale) on the perimeter, and 6-10 sophomore C Paul Bunch (North Lawndale) in the post. Taylor has proved himself to be arguably the top junior in the league with a string of stellar offensive performances. Bunch is without a doubt the top sophomore prospect in the league, as the long post player has been rapidly improving. The Wolves are a very deep team, as they already had a number of the top players in the league before 6-7 junior F Markus Rodgers (Morgan Park) came back from injury last week.
Other players to watch: senior G Deric Branch (Morgan Park), junior G Paul Jackson (Evanston), senior G Steven Rudnicki (Evanston), sophomore wing Charles McKinney (Maine East)
Game 8 Celtics vs winner of game 6 gym 108 (loser of this game is done)
Celtics: Probably the best coached team in the league, as they manage to win almost all of their games without a true post presence or much senior leadership. The Celtics top 2 players: junior’s Matt Vogrich (Lake Forest) and Dahni Wilson (Maine East) are arguably the top wing duo in the league, as both players have the potential to go for 30 on any given night. Vogrich is a solid D1 prospect who recently received an offer from St. Louis, and Wilson has shown in this league that he too can play D1 ball one day. Star junior PG Kevin Berardini (Lake Forest) will be the man behind this team’s win’s, as he is a hard nosed, pass first point guard.
