Six foot two senior guard Bryan Hall of Whitney Young committed to head Coach Ricardo Patton and Northern Illinois University today.
The commitment makes him the second division one commit in as many weeks out of the #1 ranked school in the state, as his backcourt mate AJ Rompza committed to Central Florida last Friday. Hall and Rompza have been backcourt mates not only at Young, but on the AAU circuit. They teamed up for most of the summer for Ferrari, and then they tripped to South Carolina with the Warriors for the Peach Jam. Hall really broke out at the Peach Jam, impressing division one coaches from coast to coast.
Whitney Young comes into the season as the #1 ranked team in Illinois, as they feature a star studded team full of division one prospects. Joining Hall and Rompza will be highly touted juniors Chris Colvin, Marcus Jordan, Stan Brown, Franklin Griffin, and Antonio Johnson, sophomores Anthony Johnson and Ahmad Starks, and seniors Jake Hager and Vernard Robinson. Freshman Antonio Deramus is also expected to play varsity.
Hall is an athletic combo guard that has a chance to be a great player in the MAC. Hall combines a knack for finding the open man, a great handle on the ball, and great finishing ability to make him one of the top guards in the state. Bryan is also a stellar student.
