About the instructor

All classes are taught by Rene Ng. He is a native of Macau, a small port city off the southern coast of China. After he graduated from high school, he moved to Hong Kong where he earned his undergraduate degree and began his career in the computer industry. At the same time, he also began singing professionally, and became a well-known singer and guitarist. In addition to popular music, he wrote and recorded children songs for local public television which were used to teach English. He eventually immigrated to the United States, and currently lives with his wife and daughter in the Sarasota, FL area. Other than working in the computer industry, Rene also teaches Chinese kung fu to adults and children, and is in the midst of getting his license in Acupuncture.
