South Australian-China College of English

(SA-CCE)

The South Australian-China College of English is a specially built college for the specific purpose of teaching English to students who want to study overseas. Jilin City was chosen to be the site of the first college because it is a small and convenient city, which has a relatively low cost of living compared to many of the larger cities in China, allowing students to reduce their study expenses. Further, their language learning experience is enhanced by low student numbers (no more than 15 students in each class) and foreign, CELTA-qualified teachers.

The college is located near frequent transport to the city centre. The building was specifically designed for low student numbers and provides a comfortable, naturally-lit teaching environment and accommodation for students. There is also a large reception and common area equipped with computers and tables for socialising, and which overlooks the front courtyard.

The college has enough accommodation for up to 30 students with the option of two types of rooms depending on availability. These facilities are modern with ensuite toilets in the some rooms, and a common showers for students.

Importantly, the school is an authorised Flinders University assessment centre and language training college. The University English language preparation course taught at the college is supervised by SACE Adelaide to comply with Flinders University requirements for the provision of the accredited course.
