How to enjoy the Chilterns 20s-30s Group
The Chilterns 20-30s Walking Group was established in 2000, with the aim of providing a friendly, supportive environment for people in their 20s and 30s to meet up, unwind and enjoy the pastime of walking in the beautiful Chilterns countryside. In early 2006, it had just over 200 members.
The Group is affiliated to the Ramblers Association, a charity that not only promotes walking in Britain, but also campaigns for public access and protects rights of way.
All of our activities are organised on a voluntary basis and we aim to provide them at minimum cost to the participants. In return we politely request that they:
- arrive in good time at the start point
- come appropriately equipped for the expected weather conditions
- inform the leader of the walk, in confidence, of any existing medical problem that might arise in the course of the walk
- always walk behind the leader and in front of the backmarker, who will be appointed by the leader at the start of the walk
- keep dogs on a lead where necessary and under control at all times.
