The subject of Child Sexual Abuse is very important to me, as I am a survivor of this childhood horror. My journey to heal from this has been very intense and difficult, and is still ongoing. But for the first time in my life, I see beauty in life, want to get up every day, feel strong and capable, and am living the life I deserved from the beginning.
My website is a work in progress. It will show my views on child sexual abuse, some facts about this subject, things like poetry and artwork that I've used to express myself throughout my healing journey, extracts from my journals, photo's and will include a couple of songs that hold special memories for me from my childhood. These may play in the background on certain pages, but will be included somewhere in my site.
I want to share my journey with everyone, to inspire other survivors, to educate people on the impact sexual abuse has on children and to motivate people to always speak up and protect a child, if they have any suspicions at all.
I want to share all I've been through, as I'm very proud of the work I've done to heal myself. Only I and other survivors, know how hard this is to do.
But if by sharing, I inspire or help one other person, or one child, I will be incredibly happy.
