This is my poetry that has helped me cope with various hard times. I hope they inspire you as much as they did me. I have found that sometimes it is easier to put things down on paper than to speak them. So welcome to my heart you could say. I hope you enjoy!
Questions?
I cry myself to sleep at night
Trying not to ask God why
I have false hope is what I've heard
Rather than that don't say a word
My faith is in God that's where I stand
We gave her to him she's now in his hands
How do I cope with what I'm going through?
Let me ask you this "What else can I do?"
I can only play the hand life deals
I just can't imagine how Angel feels
Should I give up and let her go?
As long as there's hope I say NO
Some people say it's all meant to be
An innocent child I don't agree
You can tell sometimes she feels bad
But throughout it all she's hardly ever sad
She has a great smile that lights up your day
For a moment or two my fears fade away
Do I wonder what life holds in store?
NO....I just pray for another day more!

As I watch a flower grow
From the smallest seed
Just add water and sunlight
That's all it really needs
Same thing with life
That's how a baby grows
A small seed of life
Even months before it shows
Very hard to see
We still know it's there
A precious little life
Put there with God's care
It feels as though your life
Has finally been made whole
Before something was missing
Only love for it you'll show
When you meet face to face
Something tugs on your heart

How can I say thank you?
For all you have done for me
When I thought I couldn't go on
It was her future you let me see
The nights I couldn't sleep
When it was just us three
How can I say thank you?
For what you have given me
You taught me the meaning of courage
You taught me faith and love
You showed me how to look ahead
Toward the heavens above
When I thought I had reached my low
I wanted to run and hide
It was like I felt a warming hand
Rub across my side
Even though all was silent
I couldn't hear a sound

To God my life saver...
I said I'd never be happy or wear a smile upon my face
Until you came into my heart I felt your warm embrace
For years I was lonely drugs were my only friend
Last sunday I went to church that's when God stepped in
I found something better I gave God my troubles and fears
As I left the alter my eyes were filled with tears
How can I repay you I know I never could
You spared my baby's life just like the Bible said you would
With you I know by my side I will always have a friend
You are always with me From beginning till the end
My life has changed so much people can't believe it's me
All the hate has left my heart you opened my eyes to see
I have already given you my heart, my soul and love
Your the one and only God sent from up above

I planted a seed, watered it just right
Made sure it was getting lots of bright sunlight
I would be there everyday to watch how much it had grown
After a while it needed me less, I was feeling all alone
Then a beautiful flower, formed from my small seed
Taught me things I never thought, how love could grow so deep
How wonderful I would hear strangers say
How did she do it?
I would hear day after day
I must admit it wasn't only me
Lots of people helped
Grow my perfect tree!

It was the worse day of my life,
That I have tried to understand,
That was the day you left us,
I still feel God's loving hand,
Thank you God for all you've done,
For my family and I,
When we felt we couldn't go on,
We would reach our hands to the sky,
I won't ask you why you took her,
She was a very great find,
Please God can you help me,
Tell her she's always on my mind,
She is the most beautiful rose,
You picked for your garden of love,
I can't wait till I join her,

In Memory.....Jean Richardson
Many hearts are broken,
Since the Lord has called you home,
Our lives are changed forever,
The moment you were gone,
How much will we miss you?
Nothing could ever measure,
So much love we hold inside,
The good times we'll always treasure,
As we all know,
God only takes the best,
He seen the great woman we knew,
And took you home to rest,
I know we will see you,
In the flowers early spring,
We will also hear you,
In the songs the birds do sing,
So for us to say goodbye,

I remember my heart,
Spittering and spattering, that gloomy day,
The day God chose to take you away.
You don't know how many questions, I have to ask,
How did you feel about me at last?
My love for you will never die,
It just gets stronger and stronger, as time goes by,
I would do anything to see you again,
The glow of your face, and the warmth of your skin,
Now you are walking on those, streets of gold,
No more sickness and no more colds.
Now you have moved to a better place,
Thanks to God's amazing grace.

I was anxious to see,
One line or two,
At that moment,
All my dreams came true,
When I looked in the mirror,
It was you I wanted to see,
The small little angel,
Growing inside of me,
I was poked and probed,
To make sure you were fine,
The words the doctor spoke,
Would then blow my mind.
Something is very wrong,
I heard him say,
The first thing I done,
Was I began to pray.
Eventhough you were gone,
As fast as you came,
You should still know,
Mommy gave you a name...Angel!

Our country is the land
Of the free;
With hatred and crime,
How free can we be?
Peace is not one race or color;
It is when we all
Trust and love
One another.
Peace is when our children
Are no longer in need
And the richest man
Knows no greed.
The world still has
A lot to be learned.
Peace is when
No more flags are burned.
The world would be a better
Place to live
If we could all learn
To forget and forgive.

As I sit in my living room, I turn on the news,
I hear of people dying, and of children abused,
Some people are in the wrong places, at the wrong times,
And others are killed over, a few dollars and dimes,
It's not even safe, to be driving your car,
Because after a few shots, they'll pull out from the bar,
Innocent families, have their lives taken,
And in their hospital beds, the drunks will awaken,
With no broken bones, and a little bump on the head,
No matter what they do, they can't bring back the dead.
Why do I let this go on, you may ask,
Then you think to yourself, it is to hard to task,
If we all together, would try to pitch in,
That's when crime might stop, and peace will begin.

All the smoke has begun to clear,
The day slowly turning into night,
No more shots being heard,
And none of our men in sight.
As the fog begins to lift,
And the sun starts to rise,
Our journey begins,
Still wondering why?
Why do innocent lives,
Have to be lost,
All the heartaches and blood shed,
Should that be the cost?
We could still smell the gun powder,
And see the blood on the ground,
For myself should I be prouder?
If so why do I wear a frown?
