CHICKENS IN NEED started off with me and. We were in the school library one lunch time in about November time and I was reading a book about battery chickens. This inspired us to help raise awareness of battery chickens.
We want the best possible conditions for laying hens. Battery and Barn systems are unacceptable and we want better! Battery cages are being banned from 2012 (see 'The facts' for more info) so at least this is a start! Chickens have the right to happiness just as we do so help them!
