We had a wonderful time and here is the visual proof!

Growing up in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, I was surrounded by an incessant beat. Trains passing routinely by my family’s apartment, homeboys in their hoomptey’s blaring their fave tunes, the call of young men in the street jockeying for various hierarchies, daily visits to the beach even in the winter, sirens from the firehouse a block away…my life as a young Chicagoan. I am not completely sure how all this affects my art almost 25 years later, but it had to.
I am only recently an artist. I have been painting now for 1.7 years. My most significant influence is humans experiencing various states of injustice. Artistically, my influences are Rothko and my brother, Derric. My art does not favor Derric’s, however since I had never picked up a brush before this period, I think I was taking some mental notes watching him as a child. He always encouraged my creativity and this is priceless.
Why all the words in my art? I am a Chicagoan; I don’t like a lot of cloaked anything…it’s too cold in this town to waste time, so we are clear communicators...if I am feeling something that I’d like you to know, or need to express, you will know about it almost immediately. Because art is communication and connection for me, I use words most often so I can connect with you and what I’m feeling and I think that’s the ultimate in innocence and humiliation. Enjoy!
I have not uploaded all of my art...for serious interest, please visit my contact page and request more of me.

These are my artistic impressions of the Swiss I know. I have been dealing with, loving and caring for Swiss for about 15 years now. I like the Swiss flag so I use it as a starting point/canvas for my feelings.

Everyone is Zurich is so gorgeous and super thin...eat Something is not only a call for increased food consumption but increased sonsumption of the spiritual, emotional, familial...general connectivity as most Swiss are quite disconnected from one another in terms of caring for neighbor.

There are many churches all over Switzerland, however, very few attendees. "No Faith Swiss" is the translation.

Rich Swiss are no different than any other set of rich people as they all tend to look down on the less fortunate and have little patience for persons less fortunate. Hence, the tounge sticking out.

The above piece is because in my 15 yers of experience with dealingw with and traveling through Switzerland, I have found them to be more interested in yelling than speaking politely to one another on the street. "Yelling Yes, Speaking, NO!" is the translation.

This is an ode to the large immigrant community in Switzerland.

"Why are You sad?" is the question i ask..The answers are found in the frowny faced cross of the flag. This one is harsh.
