This is Chica Bonita, she is a black and tan shorthair chihuahua. Weighing in at 7lbs, she is not only at a perfect size to whelp safely but is also a perfect example of what a chihuahua can be with the proper socialization and training. Chica has a good bite, nice temperment and a nice sturdy little body. I strive to produce excellent chihuahuas for family life with outgoing temperments, healthy and with nice sturdy little bodies. I like to say more of a ruff and tuff type chihuahua that is still small yet can withstand the the greater demands that a family with younger children places on a doggie family member. Chica has a great personality and attitude to boot which is one of the major reasons why I love this little dog so much!
There will be a puppy contract to fill out before purchasing my babies. I do not ship my puppies and I must meet you here in my home to see the puppies.
We now have our AKC girl Latino's Black Rose Sophia, but we call her Sophie. She is what is known as a feather coated chihuahua with long tufts of hair around the ears/tail/rump area. Sophie is a little bigger then Chica at about 8lbs but shes a beautiful girl with the best personality in a chihuahua and also a good size for whelping. She has never met a stranger and is an all around cuddle bug. She is AKC registered and we will be breeding her soon to an AKC long haired blue merle male. We will expect merles, black and tans and more from this girl. We are hoping to get some long coated chihuahuas. So keep checking back if you are interested in one of her pups.

There is NOOO such thing as a "teacup" puppy! There are many people insistant on purchasing a teeny tiny puppy in the 2-4lb range. And although the AKC "standard" for the chihuahua breed is up to 6lbs (up to 7lbs CKC standard) ANY breeder using the term teacup is only using it to cash in on big $$$. I can not even begin to imagine anyone wanting a chihuahua smaller than 3lbs. At this weight alone their bones are VERY fragile and can easily be broken by jumping off of furniture or falling off of something, being stepped on or worse. If a breeder tells you they specialize in "teacups" RUN RUN RUN for the hills and don't look back! Most TEACUP puppies in reality are nothing more than a premature puppy who for the maturatiy end up costing their new owners thousands of $$$, not to mention that probably thousands you paid for the puppy to the breeder.
-Some people will take a 2.5lb dog and breed it with a 3lb dog, your playing with genetics at this point. In my own opinion upon my own research any female of any breed should never ever be bred if less than 5lbs! So many chihuahuas need C-sections because they are often times too small to deliver naturally. But I'll let others be the judge of this.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE educate yourselves before buying a tiny puppy, whether it be a chihuahua or any other small breed puppy. You could be in for months or years of heartbreak, not to mention STAGGERING vet bills!
Do your homework, if you want a healthy puppy, don't fall for the teacup act!
