| BAWA Aces 3-3 Coalpit Heath Reserves |
Two late strikes gave us a shock draw in what was otherwise another poor performance. BAWA were 3-0 up at half-time but some inspired substitutions payed dividends. First substitute Darren Bell fired home to reduce the deficit then with less than five minutes remaining Nick Elkins fired in from the edge of the area and then Jason Wilkinson fired in an unstoppable 30 yard free-kick to claim a point. |
| St.Pancreas 3-1 Coalpit Heath Reserves |
Another lacklustre performance saw us go down to defeat at St.Pancreas. After the cup defeat to Crown Parkway the week before, we were determined to get back on track but again we just did not get started. Nick Elkins fine solo strike made the game interesting at 2-1 but we were that poor that anything other than a home win would of been an injustive. |
| Coalpit Heath 2-5 Crown Parkway |
Violence marred the end of our game with Cown Parkway as we were dumped out of the cup in the second round. It had all started off so well with Jay Wilkinson firing in from 10 yards from a right wing cross. But we failed to capitalise and were then pegged back before half time by Parkway. The second half was one of the worst performances of the season, we didn't show the resolve to be able to go on and win the game and Parkway duely made us pay as they built up a resounding 4-1 as we crumpled under the pressure. Ben Hobbs then pulled a late goal back but there was still time for Parkway to add a fifth from the penalty spot thanks to a dubious penalty decision. Then a late tackle from our player Deane resulted in a mass brawl which saw one of our players sent off, Greg Edgar and two of Crown Parkway's, in truth half the players on the pitch could have gone. Now we are left to concentrate on the league programme, which could be a blessing in disguise |
| Fishponds Athletic 1-7 Coalpit Heath Reserves |
Coalpit earned a deserved victory over bottom side Fishponds Athletic, hitting seven goals in the process. The goalscorers were Nick Elkins (2), Jack Dempsey (2), Greg (Deco), Jason Wilkinson and Nilash Masru. |
