Chevelle 300 Deluxe's

300 Series cars were a very unique model indeed because they had so many distinct features compared to the Malibu, Concours and SS. All of the 300 Series models were easily distinguished by their exterior options and trim. One noticeable thing between the 300 Series cars and the Malibu, SS, and Concours the rear trim. Unlike the SS Malibu and Concours the 300 Deluxe had the reverse lights in the taillights rather than the bumper. The lens bezels are smooth and closed in design. The malibu had the black rectangle in it to give it that effect to make the rear panel trim blend in. The grille are is also unique because they had short "eyebrow" moldings instead of the long ones found on the the Malibu and SS also Concours. These moldings give the car a cleaner look on the front of the vehicle. The emblem similar but not the same on the rear of the car on the tail panel is found on the "silver!!!"not black like SS silver grille. Both of the 300 Series models 300 and 300 Deluxe were noticed by the "Chevelle" emblem on the back of the fenders, these emblems are the exact same emblem that is on the header panel so if you guys need new ones just order 2 that are the under the header panel Chevelle script emblems. Only 300 Deluxe models had the ribbed chrome rocker moldings with little round clips that slide over pins on the rockers that a lip on the top of the moldings would slide in and keep it from falling off also the rocker moldings had little tabs at the bottoms of them had would be screwed into holes at the bottoms of the rocker panels, the Chevelle parts place dont sell them, but they do sell the exact same thing as the 1968 Chevelle 300 Deluxe rocker moldings which are the 1967 Chevelle rocker moldings. The wiper system was also different than other models they had the two-speed system that has wiper arms that are "parked" on the windshield, rather than "hidden" below the hood of a Malibu and SS, and Concours. The base V8 motor for all 300 cars was the 200h.p 307 or the 140h.p 230 L6. Standard transmissions were the standard 2 speed powerglide auto., or the 3 speed Saginaw manual. Power steering, power brakes, and A/C were other options available on them.

This is from a catalog of 1968 its a 1968 Chevelle 300 Deluxe Sport Coupe like mine its a V8 cause of the marker

lights on the front end.Man what I would pay to go back then and get every option I could on one.

1969 Chevelle 300 Series

In 1969 the base model of Chevelle the 300 was dropped and the 300 Deluxe

model took over. 1969 was the only model year that the 300 Deluxe could be

ordered as an . Only a handful of 1969 Chevelle 300 Deluxe SS 396s were

produced.

An article thats on ebay about the POST HASTE,a rare

1969 Chevelle SS396 300 Deluxe 2 door sedan they made very

few of these cars, so basically to us chevelle fans they are a natural

wonder of chevrolet.
