Chestnut Ridge Farm is a quiet, relaxing facility that provides boarding and lessons for the recreational horse enthusiast.  Our uniquely laid back atmosphere is a great place to enjoy the company of your equine friend.  Despite our easy going setup, we provide intensive riding lessons for boarders and students who want to understand the how and why behind every interaction with our four legged friends.  Learn in-depth psychology of horses, safety and skills, while having fun!  Our boarding services provide quality care for your horse in three levels to meet the needs of every horse owner.  Our horses well-being and care is of utmost importance to CRF management and staff, and we strongly believe in treating horses like horses.  We provide safe paddocks and small turnout groups, rotational grazing in summer months, heated water and ample hay in winter months and our paddocks all have shelter from the elements.  Our stalls are safe, bright, and clean. 

Our facility offers a large grass riding ring, a small dirt exercise ring and soon will be adding a large dirt riding arena for your riding enjoyment.  Other attributes include our swimming pond, miles of trails on farm or a short ride away and outdoor wash rack.  We are located minutes from Guelph, Rockwood and Fergus.  U of G students, we welcome short term boarding while you are at school!

Chestnut Ridge riders have been known to attend local and provincial horse shows and we encourage those who do decide to show, however do not consider ourselves a "show barn".  Our focus is on the enjoyment, communcation, and understanding of the horse.
