   Our Lord Jesus Christ tells us, "..., If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:31,32). In (John 17:17) our Lord Jesus, while praying to the Father tells us exactly what truth is, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." The inspired writer of the epistle of Hebrews tells us, speaking of our Lord Jesus, "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Hebrews 5:9).
