GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!! GOAL!!!
Today (07-05-07) is a VERY exciting day for me!!! I've reached my goal of losing 110 lbs. and having a healthy BMI of under 25!
When I lost 50 lbs. and entered "Onederland", the joy I felt was indescribable. It had been at least TWO DECADES since my weight started with a “1”.
My next big hurdle was reaching that 100 lbs. gone mark. I knew if I just kept following the program, the weight would come off. And it did! That day when the scale went below 150, I knew I could make it all the way. But I thought to myself, hmmm, reaching goal is going to almost seem anticlimactic after this huge milestone. LOL
The last 10 lbs. took the longest to lose out of all my “decades”, and I worked the HARDEST during the last three months. My weight graph looks quite impressive with all of its up and down spikes. LOL
And let me tell you, I cannot describe how victorious I feel today! Reaching goal is anything but anticlimactic. I feel like crying! I feel like laughing! This day is what I have worked so hard for. And the feeling is ohhhhh so schweet!!!

My size 24 pants -- all of me in one leg! |
I will keep these pants forever as a reminder of how far I've come. |
|
My face at 250 lbs. |
And the comparison at 139.8 lbs. |
|
My TIGHT size 24 pants and 3X top. |
And a much slimmer-fitting size 4P pants and 4 top. |
|
A side comparison at 215 lbs. and my "bubble butt". :) |
I'll always have a bootay, but at least I don't look pregnant in the back anymore!
|
Now that I've reached my WW goal of losing 110 lbs., I'm working on my personal goal of weighing (and losing) 125 lbs. You see, when I reach 125, I'll be exactly half the woman I once was!

This picture was taken on 09-06-07, weighing in at 128.2 lbs. -- 121.8 lbs. gone!
I just have to share about the outfit I'm wearing. I LOVE a good bargain; my husband can happily attest to that.
This outfit is 100% silk, size 6P, and I got it at a thrift store for $5! How's THAT for a good bargain?!
My legs have always been my biggest (pun intended) problem. They were E-N-O-R-M-O-U-S. I'm so proud of the way they have shaped up!
And what I'm even MORE proud of is the fact that I'm so much more fit now! My husband has always loved to hike, and it's now also MY new-found love. I haven't always enjoyed it because walking was such a chore. But now, after a regular exercise routine, those hours of exercise are really paying off. When we hike, I can FEEL the muscles in my legs engaging and doing the work for me. It's so amazing to not only see the changes in my body, but to feel the transformation in my health.
Oh, and while at one time I would have to take frequent breaks and be huffing and puffing up the hills, it's my husband that's winded and sore when we're through. I'm totally kickin' his ass, and loving every minute of it!

Summer of '05 -- Approximately 250 lbs. -- Size 24 pants.
|
September of '06 -- Approximately 202 lbs. -- Size 16 pants. I had lost almost 50 lbs. here, and I thought I was lookin' good. :)
|
September of '07 -- 131 lbs. -- Size 6 pants. Here I have lost 70 lbs. more, for a total of almost 120 lbs.! |
I did it! Today (10-04-07), I made my personal goal of 125. Well, technically it was 125.4, but that's close enough for me!
So it's on to maintenance for this woman.
My wonderful husband went to my WW meeting with me to join in the celebration and take pictures. Guess how many pictures he ended up taking. Ummmm, Zero-Nada-Zilch. LOL When I asked him afterwards what happened, he said he just got caught up in the meeting. Gotta love him. So my leader invited him back in six weeks when I make lifetime, to celebrate with us......and TAKE PICTURES!
Sooooo, when we got home from the meeting, he took these pictures out on our deck. I was hoping to get one of the beautiful yellow aspens in the background, but it was too dark by that time.
