We are a volunteer fire department dedicated in helping to save lives and properties of those people in and around our surrounding community. Being as we are a volunteer company, any monies received by us are from either donations from the community or grants and loans, or from fundraisers we have had ourselves. Our fine men and women are constantly thriving to learn all they can in order to be able to help in anyway they can. We have trainings in the department as well as outside training and schooling for which they attend. We are always looking for more volunteers who wish to help save a life or a property. So, if you are age 14 or up we will be glad to have you if you are willing to join. Come speak to one of our officers or any member who can tell you what it takes to become a firefighter or EMT.
If you would like to give a donation you may do so by either mailing it to the address listed in the contact information, giving to one of the people in the department listed also in the contact information, or stop by on a monday night at the fire department located on Cherrytree Road just down from the old Cherrytree School. We need lots of help for fundraisers that we do. If you would like to help out, you can do so by becoming a social member. Come to our meetings on the 2nd Monday of the month to find out how.
If you are thinking of becoming a member there are several ways to be one.
You can become a social member where you can still help out the fire department with fundraisers and such but you don't have voting rights and you don't need to do any training and don't have to pay yearly dues.
There is the reserve member who are just like social members but with voting powers and pay a yearly due of $10
Last there is the active members which have voting powers, pay yearly dues of $10, respond to calls, and take training.
We have 2 types of active members, the Seniors and the Juniors.
The juniors may do training, don't have to pay dues as long as they are in school, and can go to certain calls. They are not allowed to respond to structure fires due to the labor laws. It is nice to see our young people wanting to help people, so if you have a child between the ages of 14-17 we would love to have them join as well. They are our next generation.
We need any type of member you wish to be so don't be afraid to join.

Our firehall and new pavillion may be rented for a function you may have, such as graduations, family reunions, birthday parties, etc...No alcohol is allowed anywhere around or in these areas. If you would like to rent them the cost is as follows: Pavillion and Hall is $50 - Pavillion is $35 dollars - Just Hall $35.
If you rent just the pavillion you will have access to the bathrooms in the department but that is all you will be able to use. You may contact either the fire department number and leave a message if noone is there and someone will get back to you or you may contact one of our many members if you happen to know one.
We will be having our annual Gun Raffle this year. Date is unsure as of this moment. Will post this information when it becomes available.
Sorry folks for the delay on changes. I have had to make some upgrades on my computer in order to do this site.
