Dear Visitor,
I teach Chen style Taijiquan, specifically, the style that is practised in Chen village (chenjiagou). This website is primarily dedicated as a resource to my students, but may be of interest to the general public as well.
Taijiquan or Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese internal martial arts that is also practised for health. It is characterized by slow, graceful and often circular movements. Chen style taijiquan is believed to be the oldest form of taijiquan and originated from Chen Village (Chenjiagou) in Henan, China.
I trace my lineage from my primary
teacher-couple, Hu Su-Tan 胡淑坦 and Chen Hui-Qiu 陈慧秋 (both
from Singapore). Teacher Chen Hui-Qiu is a disciple
of Grandmaster
Zhu Tian-Cai 朱天才 (from Chenjiagou).
Grandmaster Zhu is a 19th generation grandmaster
and one of the four tigers or Buddha warriors
(together with Chen Xiao-Wang, Chen Zheng-Lei, &
Wang Xi-An) from Chenjiagou. I also study under
Grandmaster Zhu and host Grandmaster Zhu's
Taijiquan Workshops in North Carolina, USA.
I have also started training in the
I-Liq-Chuan 意力拳 system under
Master Sam Chin.
The rest of this website contains information including video clips that hopefully would aid you in your training.
