Chem Soc Shock

I HOPE you publish this because I want to outline the disgrace of one (although there are bound to be more) IMG football team.
Clare Donovan (IMG Chair) reported that there has been more and more incidents of unfair conduct and unfortunately this has cost our team Real Havana a place in the Premiership.

We played Chem Soc last semester, the dirtiest, cheating wankers I have ever encountered in football. Two-footed challenges and studs up in every challenge seemed to be normal for them, along with the consistent harassing of the referee and the worst time-wasting I have ever seen, until it got too dark to play.

Reading previous issues of gair rhydd, it came as no surprise that Chem Soc’s only previous report involved ‘dodgy refereeing decisions’ (harassment) and even a ‘fight’, with the Cardiff Dragons. After speaking to the Dragons’ players they said the same thing of ChemSoc, as did the Captain of the Cardiff Uni IMG team.

”{sic}Apparently they are c*nts. It’s an absolute farce that they can get away with it and by no action being taken, it is just condoning their behaviour as acceptable. So maybe we should start ‘cheating’ as well.

There’s nothing wrong with a physical game or with a bit of gamesmanship, but what we experienced last semester was absolutely diabolical and its a shame that the powers to be are doing absolutely nothing about it {sic}.

Please publish this, as I hope it will make a difference to the future of IMG. Something needs to be done.
