Lessons, Assignments, Tests, Projects, & Exams:

Lessons

Lessons are given on a weekly basis. They will include detailed explanation of the topic of each lesson along with a short lecture from the professor. Each lesson includes a reading assignment (not too long) a lecture, and some sort of assignment/assessment.

Assignments

Assignments are given on a weekly basis. There are generally two assignments per lessons. Assignments include both theory and practical work. Assignments are never meant to be busy work, but it is meant to test your understanding of the material covered in each lesson. Assignment due dates will be posted at the start of each lesson and next to each assignment.

Tests

There will be one test given per term. This test will separate the first two lessons from the last two. The test will be worth the same as the project for that term.

Projects

Projects will be worth the same as a test. The project will be announced within the first month of the term so that students will have plenty of time to prepare. The students will present their project to the class before the exam review week.

Exam

An exam is given at the end of each term. The exam is part of the criteria in receiving a quill from this course. Exams will generally have two parts, Theory & Practical. Each part is designed to prepare students for OWL style testing.
